Hi !! A weeks days ago I bought on eBay a couple of small head Han Solo figures and I am wondering if the small heads could be from the re-release done in China post 1995. Has someone discussed this topic in the past ? I understand the coo of the re-release is completely different from Kenner’s but could I have bought typical large head solos CUSTOMIZED using the small head re-Release ( . Trying to find info on the re-release to know the differences in mold or head shape or paint but can’t find details. Maybe worthwhile to add a thread guide about these re-releases done in China so people don’t confuse them with Kenner ones or avoid heads switching like what I am describing . As you know , small head Kenner solo prices are high and need to make sure we are getting the real thing. Thanks!

Light face apps, and a no zip cape (quadruple checked). She's posed next to HK 1 #2 on her right, who came with a zipping cape and has "standard" face apps, and #1 on the left with light face apps, who didn't.

@TheJabbaWookie Your smooth cape Leia's eyes look to match, where they appear almost translucent. I'm betting on your cape being early, and being legit.

Selling three of my vintage Vaders.

#1 is NM/M looks straight off the card, 100% authentic zipping cape and V4 Kenner rounded tip saber. $45

#2 is EX/NM, has some playwear: shoulder scuff, rubs on his chestplate, but his saber is dead mint, a Kenner V1 flat tip transition. Cape zips $35

#3 NM/M figure, VG saber, so the figure itself is very minty. His saber is faded though, lettered with "MM" on the hilt, and it might have been chewed on, but is not badly deformed. It's the proper length, just has some indents. Cape zips. $40

I have pics, pm if interested. I'm looking to sell for a fair market value, and these are extremely nice figures. I am very strict grading my own figures, and I count every defect, no matter how small. So, if you're looking for an AFA style grade, my opinion is #1 = 90+, #2 = 80, #3 = 85, but you can judge for yourself by the pics.

*IMPORTANT NOTE* Since I need quick sales, I have also posted these on EBay as well. The starting price for the 7 day auction is $5. The prices here are *cheaper* than the EBay "Buy It Now" prices I have listed. I don't want to appear shady, but EBay is going to take some of what I make, so I'm covering for that.

After my MITW Vader, I knew that I had to have MORE Vaders. The order should be changed up a little. Number 2 is a Lily Ledy I bought on its own. His paint is gorgeous. His saber is coming via a separate post. 1,3, and 4 were ordered as a lot for $70. No idea on origins, COOs, etc, but I figured the price was worth it. Ended up with Kenner HK (#1) sharing a LL COO, Raised bar no COO w/ a surprisingly gray head (#3), and another nice Kenner HK (#4). At the end is my first Vader with a lettered saber. And then the big guy. Love him. Plus, in a few days, I should have my PBP Vader




And, I am terribly jealous of that Takara Vader

Picked up this cool Comics and Fantasy Con #1 Flyer a few months ago.

Mainly because it's my favorite comic book artist, and it just so happens he drew a little bit everything including a Stormie!

My Wife and I put together spread sheets, but it was for our collection before a move... We got ripped off by movers one time, and we said never again... We basically had a sheet with a list of the contents on it and a number. The number matched the box and its contents... I would love to put together a list like yours, but I have a lot to learn regarding weapon and accessory variations and Coo's...

An eBay purchase from Brianstoys way back, & he came with a more translucent DT saber, they said he couldn't be AFA graded so sold him as a DT-maybe. I subsequently sold No 6 (£85, private sale, less than I paid for him) before I used TIG/Rebelscum/Others, to identify 'Circles' variant.

I recently bought a collection of star wars figures that seems to have a number of variants. Five of the figures in the collection were Bespin Lukes which all seem to differ in one way or another. I'm wondering if anybody can help me identify these particular figures. Cheers.

From what I can tell the figures vary based on the boot color, size of the figure, coo code on the back, facial features, color and tone, width of how far legs are spread, as well as hand size and color...

Although I have begun collecting sw figures again, my limited observations are that:
Figures one and two, although they have different color boots and hands, possess the same COO, facial features, and color tone (which is mo





re glossy). Numbers three four and five also have similar color tone and the same COO, but their facial features, boot color, and height varies.

As seen in the picture, figure 2 is taller than 1, figure 3 is taller than 2, 4 is taller than 3, and 5 is taller than 4.

I am thinking that based on his pale hands, #1 may be a POCH figure, but I will defer to other's expertise...  Also, if anyone is able to identify the particular variations of these figures, if they could also tell me the relative rarity that would be extremely helpful. Cheers.

Ok folks... time to add a new update to my build.  I've been getting alot of questions about my new corridor sconce light sets on Shapeways.  



They both (the ESB and ANH versions) come with this little tool I designed called the Drill Guide.  



But yet, no one can figure out how to use it.  I painted it with primer so it's easy to see... It's really simple to use... here's how:

First things first, identify the top of each cushion that needs a light on it.  On the back mark the top position so you don't forget.  Then, take the edge of my tool and place it on the top edge as shown and push it against the surface of the cushion.  Rub it back and forth creating a very light mark on the plastic (not so hard it does damage, and not so light you can't see it).  You can prepaint the cushion whatever color you want and it'll make the marking a bit easier as well...



Next, dip the pointed marker ends in a little bit of paint (doesn't really matter what kind, I like to use watercolor or arcylic paint here because it can be removed easily if I make a mistake.



Next, touch the painted tips to the surface along the line you "rubbed" into the cushion previously.  Just a dot of paint is all you need.  These will be the drill points where you will drill a hole.



Some have worried about how it will work with the convex or concave cushions, well never fear, just by tilting it sideways you can still get a good point mark on those cushions easily as you can see below!

You should now have perfectly spaced dots on each cushion.  5 for the large cushions (try to center them as best you can), 3-4 for the medium cushions and only 1 for the small ones.  Now, you want to prepare your holes for drilling, so, take a sharp hobby knife and prep your drill holes.  You don't want to make these too big, just large enough to give the drill bit something to grab onto as you start drilling your holes.  Make the starter holes for each pin point marking you made earlier.  Try to be as precise as possible in this step.  If you move off the first line you made it'll show later.



Next you want to take a small drill bit (here I got a 1/16th) and begin drilling the holes in each cushion where you made your marking starter holes.




Now that you got all your small holes drilled, you have 2 options here.  #1 you can begin gluing and drilling the large holes all the way thru both the cushion and the corridor parts or #2 you can set the part on the corridor and using the small holes drill thru the corridor.  I chose the second option here because my larger drill isn't very delicate, so I have to be careful when I drill with it.




The drill bit to use for my corridor lights will be a 5/16th inch or 3.8mm bit.



Yes I know, an extra step! LOL




Now that all the holes are drilled you're ready to install the lights.  Hope this helps and enjoy!
