Hey Everyone -

I'm hoping I can get a few of you to do me a favor. Most of you know my son Frankie (our resident raffle official) but if you don't, he's an amazing kid with the biggest heart of anyone I've known. Thursday, he'll be undergoing eye surgery. There are some risks but I'm feeling confident he'll come through just fine. They'll have to repeat the procedure (this time the other eye) in about 3 weeks if all goes well. He's holding up better than I would at 12yrs old but is obviously nervous and rightfully so. I know there are far worse things children battle but eyes are a scary thing to mess with.

So I want to ask everyone who reads this for two things. One is pretty easy, the other slightly more time consuming.

1)Please say a prayer for Frankie. I know we have a mixed bag of religious and non-religious people so I know it's a lot to ask for some. Even if you think it's a waste, please say a quick Hail Mary or something for him (or something in your religion of course). It means something to me and my family.

2)I'm hoping I can get a few people so send him a get well card. He loves getting mail (more accurately he complains he doesn't get mail LOL) and he may be stuck in the house for a while. Getting some cards, especially from different areas of the globe) would be pretty cool. He doesn't need Toys, Gifts, Cash, etc.. I really am asking for just a card.  I should have asked a week ago so people could have them on the way but I was reluctant to even mention anything. So if you decide to send one I'd really appreciate it going out soon as you could.

Make sure his mum is not around when he gets my card. He's 12 I think bouncing boobs is appropriate  

First post on this forum, but a one time keen watcher and know you are a good guy and this is a great thing to do for Frankie. I've got no problem with both so expect prayer to a God of my choosing, and a card in the not too distant future from the UK  

My thoughts are with Frankie, and your family John. Frankie is a very brave young man & I'm sure he'll make a quick recovery.   
Looking at the responses so far your postman/ postlady is going to have a very full sack.
