Hey everyone,

A quick thank you to everyone for the PMs and i'll thank you in advance for any cards he gets. Surgery was this morning and he did fantastic. The doctor removed his ocular lens, replaced it with a synthetic and then stitched his eye sack to make it secure. We aren't out of the woods (like any surgery we need to monitor) but I can say that my wife and I had some waterworks when we saw him smiling and saying he could see now out that eye.

hi there.... so glad all went well, Did they checked Frankies midichlorian levels, i bet there off the scale! kids are tough little cookies, also nice to see a top class Dad in action, card to follow. best wishes darth dutch (steve)  

John that is great news   . Card went out yesterday so should be there by early next week if not this weekend.

On another note I want to say what a great forum we have when even brand new guys (who dont know any of us) are willing to send cards and say a prayer. Makes me glad to be a TIG-er.

Thoughts are with you guys. I'll be out and about today, so will try my best to grab a card. Glad to hear things went well, and good luck to him in advance for the other eye.

Ive been away till today so had limited internet, hence my excuse for the latter reply.
I will try and pick up a card when I'm out tomorrow.
Glad to hear that the surgery went well, worrying times when your kids have to have an opp.

I'm glad Frankie's operation was a success & he's doing ok John!

P.S.You can always get him an eye patch while he recovers & he'll be cool (if he isn't already!) like Snake Plissken!

John, I just got back from a short holiday. I'm glad to hear that the surgery went well. Hopefully the recovery will continue to go well.
Frankie should be getting my card soon.  

Wanted to give an update!

I'm beyond words right now, because as of yesterday we were told Frankie will only need reading glasses! He is doing great and is just speechless with what he can now see (and how clearly). He had a sliver of vision in his left eye and was correcting to like 20/80 with glasses. He can now basically see through the whole lens and is just so excited to see things clearly and in such a full view.

I'll update more as we go, thanks again everyone!!
