Everybody, as you know, theres been talks about things needing changing around here. So what I would like to know from all the members, except the admins/mods/developers, is what would you like to see changed around here. This will be a new day for all of us and we want to know what should be done about making changes. Feel free to say what you feel and think. We, as the driving force here on TIG, would like to know what you, the members would like to see. As one of the developers here, its my duty to start and develop ideas on what I think everyone would like to see here. Just like re-launching the FOTW threads. I figured everybody would like to see those come back to life and the vehichle/playset and oddball of the week threads. Those are just a start of things to come here. Also some areas do need to be expanded to be up-to-date, we are trying to do that. But what we need to know is, what changes do you want us to do. Think of this as your favorite store. We are the employees here and you, the members, are the customers. Customer service is and should be #1 and come before everything else. So if theres things that you want done, let us know here in this thread. We will compile them somewhere else and work on a way to get it all kickstarted. The main goal here is to get TIG back on the map as the go-to place for vintage SW. Whether its loose, MOC, bootlegs or oddballs and everything in between. Heres your chance to speak up and let us as the TIG team know what you want to see. Thanks.

An update in the repro guide is in dire need and more threads like the Lili Ledy thread by Dr.Dengar and Ozio would be awesome.
Btw the FOTW threads are great

When we get a bit of sunlight again, I can try and take close-ups of stuff not on the database, like the regular Jawa cloth cape, which I have had for almost 30 years. Apart from a few random omissions like that, it's a fantastic resource that as I'm sure you know, is often quoted on RS, and even linked in some reputable eBay auctions.

Sorry I have to start with a shameless plug to get this post rolling Over on our comic site Alter Ego Comic Corner http://alteregoforum.com/ we have a monthly "Comic Book Club" and we have a set time for folks to drop by chat one night and discuss the comic. The same could be done here with an aspect of MOC collecting, a specific figure etc etc.

And also I think we should have a weekly meeting in chat between 9PM-10PM where we all sit in a virtual circle and talk about our feelings and discuss the weeks worldly events in a polite and subdued manner. Followed by drinking beer and playing ping pong.

Personally I would love to see this forum become more active. I love the idea of weekly meetings but what about some live auctions? How cool would that be? Obviously not everyone could be a seller immediately but the older, more seasoned members would be a great place to start. Plus I love the ChatBox on here I wish more people hung out in there!

We actually did a live auction once before. I'm happy to consider it again!

The chat feature is awesome and i'm as guilty as anyone for not being in there oftern enough. But I'll try to be there more!

I love the chatroom here. No secret about that . But have been missing here lately, giving attention to my own site. But have been trying to split the time to come here too.

Ive started hitting chat here more often now. But it all depends on my schedule anymore.

Good ideas all around, so far. The biggest thing for me is the activity here. I would love to see this place hopping again, but for that to happen, we need ALL members to help. We are up to 618 members now and only a hand full of those are posting. So to those who dont or havent posted since they signed up, what do you want to see? And the same goes for those who do post. We're trying our best to get this place back into its prime again. And for ideas, it doesnt specifically have to be threads. What changes would you like to see done here period. This forum is for you to enjoy, so lets keep the ideas running.

You have made a very good point Chris. I think most of us know why membership has incrased recently, but it would be good to know why many of our new members don't post. If we are to maintain a healthy membership & keep TIG moving forwards I think we need to hear more from the silent majority.

CP, thats why I started this thread last night. I wanted to see what the non-active members would like to see. I can guess what the active members want from everybodys posts. Thats easy enough on its own. Ive been pushing to get ideas running the last few months, but I cant move forward with anything until I hear from everybody. I got another new idea running in my head that I spoke to the team about, but I want to see if there really is any interest in it before I say anything public. If theres a good bit of intrest pop up in here on what Im thinking, Ill get it rolling later. But I dont want to give anybody any hints on what it is until that time.

Being new, I'm still trying to figure out all the different figure related threads. I would say (if possible) to combine all figure related "records" together. would be awesome..for example: Vader - what the figure(s) look like in comparison to all other possible countries (coo) that were made... all known variants amongst each.

Thats what the FOTW threads are for. Its just that in the past, there was alot of threads started on the same subject at one time. Thats why I wanted to re-launch those threads so everyone will be able to post their items and ask questions in them. As for combining all the known threads here together in the right threads, I wouldnt want to go that route right now. The reason is theres somethings in the old threads that might be deleted or removed that would mess the whole threads up. Thats why I would prefer that if there are anything new to add or ask, do it in the current threads that are running. Theres a master link sticky on the top of vintage chat where you can find all the ones I have going to date. I need to add the latest ones to it still which I will do over the weekend. But thanks for your input, its much welcomed.

OK, I looked into the pm question. Im not sure if its the same here as it is on mine, but there is a max limit of 50 pms you can have in your in, out, sent and saved box (50 in each that is). So Im not sure if that limit can be raised or not. But the admins are looking into trying to solve this one now.

I agree with Rawlin Chris! it would be great if we could get unlimited PM space

How about lowering or even dropping the limit on how many posts you need to have before you can post links or photos. Being a new guy its saddening to have or find something that you can't post pics of. You can talk about it but if theres no pics(proof of) "It doesn't exist"

That has been talked about, but it was put in place for a very good reason. From our admin, its to help keep spammers from posting any off the wall pix and/or links here. I even have it set up on my own site like this. It also helps out for scammers who sign up and try to sell you something via pm that they either dont have or any of the hundred of reasons why they want to steal your cash. So that one will most likely not change. You can always email a member of the team here any pix you want posted up and they can post it for you until you reach the 50 limit or week active member status. But by the way it looks, its a 50 post min since youve been here since Feb. and still not able to post any.

Good that your looking into the pm issue would be great with a higher limit, I can't even count all the pms that I have lost.

Claes, with the setup used here, theres not much we can do about the pm situation. The only way that can be fixed is if the forum was on a different server that gave us unlimited power to add more space. But with forumation, there is a limit of 50 max. Sorry.

What the hell? Why has my format suddenly changed to French language?? You can start by fixing that for me, lol.

We need some fresh topics. Having said that I know that's hard to do. Maybe a weekly poll of a 3 or 4 different topics, everyone votes, and then we can all post about said topic. I'm guilty of not posting as frequently as well as not having much to add as far as new content goes. But that's because of my very busy personal life right now. I know everyone goes through the same kind of stuff.

I too love the chat feature and used to dwell there quite a bit. My activity has fallen off lately but again - that's just because of what's going on in this point of my life.

Everyone remember how hard our developers and admin team work around here! Give them some good ideas and they'll roll with them!

The only limit is a time limit. You need to be a member for one week before you can post pics.

This is to prevent spammers to sign up and immediately post for instance viagra commercials.

To get around this, you can PM a mod and ask to get your pics published.

Thats what I dont get. Boomstick has been here since Feb 29th and he still cant post his pix or anything. And his post count is only 16. So theres something more going on with that. Is it a week or 50 posts? Someone needs to look into it a bit closer. Has it been changed recently or what. And he also emailed me his pix to post for him, so thats taken care of until he is able to post them himself.

I'm looking into this. I think you need to be on 10 days (from your first post). Boomstick may have registered on Feb 29th but didn't post until April 23rd. So it should, I think, start from there.
