Keeping the answers simple. How many individual vintage starwars figures are they to collect?
This doesnt include varients or bootlegs just official figures. Not sure how people will answer this as there is the windup R2 which I believe is an official figure but not well known and not including the droids or ewoks series etc.

I know you can count the figures from the likes of Landos locker but it doesnt list all the figures to the best of my knowledge.

99 I believe if you don't count the major obvious variants....

The windup R2 was a Japan/Takara not a Kenner figure

94 strictly speaking, 96 if you include all three R2's, 97 if you include Blue Snagg, 98 if you include Takara R2, 99 if you include the trash monster, 100 if you include salacious crumb.....

93 is all figures that came on a cardback, so that excludes the rebo band and Jabba the hutt.

That is strictly figures that were once MOC and includes no variants, foreign licensees etc.

96 my bad - that includes C3P0 removable limbs + the R2's

So , to keep it simple -

96 3 3/4 figures from Star Wars - ESB - ROTJ - POTF

Does not included Jabba / Rebo Band / Droids / Ewoks / Variants / Bootlegs / Foreign remoulds like the walking R2 etc

That is your one stop shop for basic variations, weapons, release date, names etc

You can't go wrong if you start at the bottom of the ladder and work up mate

Once you start to add in the bootlegs, theres a ton including color and paint apps variations.

I did a full set of loose figures and this is what I considered to be the correct number

How can you include Max rebo and not Jabba John?

To make it easier for myself I stuck to 93 + included Blue Snaggletooth so 94 total, I don't like the rebo band and if I excluded them I might as well not worry about old fat face

The band were figures. Jabba was part of a playset.

I know it seems odd but thats life in my brain!

I think john has it pretty much on the head....VCJ is a little dubious, but everyone starting wants one eventually.

The only real reason for not wanting Jabba in my set is that he is just too big to fit in the display case I want LOL

So I figured if I cut him out then I had a logical reason for not putting the three figures I hate the most in the set - Rebo band

I know I will probably cave on that and get them both and stick them on top of the display case because Jabba is just a huge part of ROTJ and it does seem that
if I go on film Characters, he is more important than many of the other figures that were made that I have included in my 94.

Dunno how you can hate the Rebo band....

It stems from trying to find a nice condition Max Rebo without faded limbs

One day I looked at the other two I had - one is a skinny legged multi coloured alien with a skirt on and the other one has a butt for a face that you put a flute/clarinet into :scratch:

i dont know joe, better start looking for a bigger displaycause , jabba is a neccesary charakter to the movie's

and theire for a fig you can not exclude from the line

Thanks for the link Jo. I have that saved in my favorites and used that about 9 months ago as a basis for my collection.
As I said in the original post Landos locker has a few figures missing. So does the rebelscum link.

I do want to try and get the band and jabba and that little salacious crumb thing . I to cant fit it in my case but want to have it so I can say I have a complete set.

Thanks for the replies. The only figure I overlooked which you brought up was the salacious crumb figure so I guess im collecting a set of: 102-3
