Thanks, Matt

| Takara imported figures and slapped takara stickers on the cardback. The pic is to small to blow up and see the coo, but I am guessing it is a no coo figure that someone has drilled a hole in and is calling it a takara. There does not exist a Han Solo with a screw in the rear to my knowledge. |

| I really hope so. Cause I missed out on this auction of a Lot set of figs.
I just zoomed in to that one pic and saw it. Curiosity got the best of me. That's why I was asking so quick. LoL
I had my fingers crossed and hoping that was legit. |

| You saved yourself some cash. The only confirmed takara figures are the c3po, Vader , and stormtrooper with the screw in the back and Japan coo. The r2 is a wind up toy that was released and has a Japan coo, it was bagged except for the ones in Canada which can be found carded. There are takara cardbacks which where Kenner figures imported and a sticker was placed on it. They imported the original 12 and did this with them prior to making their own figures. The takara Japan coo Vader I think is found on a 12 back with a white background while the regular (Hong Kong) Vader is found with a yellow/orange background like the regular Vader. The takara Japan coo stormtrooper has a few tells and it has been a while since I read up, but believe they have fatter hips. The c3po takara Japan coo figure has a different head. All three are able to be distinguished from their Kenner imported counterparts, though the stormtrooper is the hardest one to do so if I remember right.
Of course the takara wind up r2 is easily distinguished as it is the only wind up r2. There are three coo markings for it, but I don't think the one released in Canada was exclusive to Canada. I am not quite sure of how it came to be carded as I never tracked the history, but most likely it was imported from Japan to Canada and not produced in Canada, but again I didn't research it out so can not confirm that 100%. |
