| Hi all, Well, check the picture. In a combined lot of action figures I found a White YPS gun. I know the YPS gun was beleived to be a GI-JOE gun, but this is SO cool to find. How cool would the white version have looked with the Snowtrooper! Now, when I photographed the pictures, I saw clear differences between the guns. The black gun (sold to me as original by a vintage dealer) seems more crudely molded. The white gun seems way more 'neat' around the edges. Now is the difference between the YPS Snowtrooper and the orininal the same (more crudely molded) but I am wondering now if the black gun is indeed genuine. Plastic type seems correct (soft, bendable). Anyone out there with an YPS gun to confirm ? |

The black gun isn't a GI Joe gun, but an Action Masters gun. Which I think (and please someone correct me if I'm wrong) are bootlegs of GI Joe's that were released primarily in Europe. You can get them on ebay from time to time in weapons/accessory packs. And just like Star Wars (or GI Joe) there are several different weapon colors available. Although, I've never seen a white one before, I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility. |

| The YPS gun is from Action Force , which was i believe was the uk release of GI Joes.
Not sure about the white one, but could be the same as i know you can also get silver ones. i had loads of action force figures as a kid, but don't really know much about them.
I always pressumed they were Gi joes under a different name for the uk market. |

| Your right Del. The European version is Action Force. As for the gun, not sure. They did do accessory packs for weapons in different colors for G.I. Joes, but I'm not sure if they ever did for AF. From the looks of the white one, with its clean look, I would think it was one. But I'm not 100% on it. |

| It was in a lot with Star Wars, Action Force and GI Joe figures, and I always thought is was a GI Joe gun, so thanks for the correction.
As for my other question, does the black one seem genuine to you ?
Cheers, Shoenix |

When I first saw the pic you posted, I thought if either of them would be repro it would be the white one. The sculpt just looks too "clean" IMO. |

| My YPS gun is like the one from wolff, i think the black one in the first post is not a genuine one wat the bad molding (not counting the excessive plastic) but i am not a specialist in those guns, anyway, i got mine from germany like 5 years back with the YPS stormtrooper and YPS comic. Cheers, Den. |

| That's indeed what triggered my concern too. Well, looking at the other pictures it does seem different, so I'd better take it up with the vintage dealer I bought it from. Thanks all so far for your answers |
