I hope things are going better for you now.

Maybe something custom, I remember a guy selling stormtrooper helmets that looked similar mounted in a frame on ebay?

Hi Alex,
When using photobucket, you can click on the 'IMG' link next to the picture to grab the link. Paste the link in a post and voila!
And this is how it's made

This is certainly an odd piece. These have turned up over the years, largely due to them being reproduced from the original form(s) I've tracked them back to being used as store displays at a few places in the UK. One was an ice cream type of shop, and the other was a tire shop. (like I said, "Odd") They are cool display pieces, and turn up with a fair amount of regularity. Usually I tell people that $40-50usd for a nice example is a good price.

Thanks Bill!
I paid 25€ (ie about 40USD) on the fleamarket. The head is in good condition but dusty. So I guess it was not the deal of the century but I quite like it as it is really a cool display.

Absolutely Alex - if anything, it's certainly an eye catcher. The displays were designed to use two of these, shot in a white-ish plastic, and positioned back to back inside a lighted frame (really showing off that high relief/3D effect of the Vader helmet) As you can see in the pic above, there isn't much you can't do with these. (The coffee table is AWESOME !!!) The only downside really is just how large they are. Great pick up for the 25/40usd !!
