| yeah i'm not going either its hard for me to take time off during the busiest season of my working year. Also i just couldn't afford the cost of tickets, travel and hotels, until this week when i had a bit of luck. Shame it didn't come a bit sooner. But like Paul, at least i will be spending some of the weekend at the beach, when i'm not at work. Hopefully i'll get to go to the next one cos it would be really great to meet you guys in person and have a drink :drinking2:although i am looking forward to new updates from Marcos CEII thread |

Is this confirmed? If so let's start saving! I'll take any excuse to go back to California! Don't know if two years is enough saving time for me though |

Is this confirmed? If so let's start saving! I got excited when I read this 2015 it will be my 40th birthday and we had talked about going to the states why not tie it in with a celebration and a bit of the original Disneyland also 2015 gave me a nice long time to save up. Then I find out that tickets go on sale in just 9 days time on the 8/7/13 kind of takes the piss. Maybe this trip will be sponsored by Visa:lol: |

Hell, you can't book airfare until we're inside of 330 days regardless. What I can and will start planning is my C7 giveaway, it must top the C6 Yak pin! |

| There's a lot of nice pictures over on the 'other' CE 2 thread, so I thought why not put a few 'Not' CE 2 pictures up, here's some of mine which may help further convince people to get saving for California! Outside ILM Studio's with the Yoda fountain in San Francisco Inside ILM Studio's lobby with Darth Vader (I was told not to put my head in his hands to make it look like he was strangling me as it aggrevated the security guard) Boba Fett in ILM Studio's lobby A finally a couple of shots from 'Endor' in the Redwood forests: That is not an Ewok trying to molest Chewbacca, it's me and my wife A couple of Redwoods that kind of looked like the McDonalds arches |

| And here is another I'll bring this up again as things get closer and I am sure others will mention it too. Sometimes, not all the time, but a good amount of the time when I fly to California, it is usually cheaper to fly into Vegas and drive over to Anaheim. My job has an office basically in Anaheim and I will fly into Vegas most of the time to get a day/night there on either the beginning and/or end of my trip. Whenever possible DO NOT fly into LAX! Its a freaking crappy airport. International flights might not have any other options, but seriously think about Vegas as the airport if possible as it can save you hundreds of dollars! That 3:45 drive time estimate from Google Maps is more like 3:15 since you can drive above the speed limit (within reason) with little fear of getting stopped. Cops don't want to tick you off! And your in Vegas Baby! |

| I can definately second that Jay, LAX is a shit hole, and plus the drive (coach trip) from Vegas to Anaheim is a great, open roads, desert, mountains and a pile of Joshua Trees, what more do you want! |

heh heh, yeah might have to try that one myself The missus has a disliking for all things star wars and can't understand why i would waste money on filling a cupboard up with bits of plastic But the attraction of a family holiday, including Disneyland. Means that i might be in with a chance Oh yeah and awesome pics Alex i would love to visit ILM studios someday. Lucas hasn't sold that off yet has he? |
