I only posted a couple pictures the figure in Custom Figures thread, but wanted to share a little story about him as well.
This is my first attempt at writing anything like this, so please forgive my lack of writing skills.
Here we go.........
A brief history of
Long before Luke Skywalker's name became known throughout the galaxy, he was locally known as the 'Tatooine BadAss'.
Luke and his best friend, Biggs Darklighter, would tear it up all over Tatooine getting into as much trouble as possible.
Luke and Biggs were well known for being delinquents and Luke especially, for being a gigolo who would frequently would get into cantina brawls for hitting on the wrong women and the occasional female Wookie.
It wasn't until one crazy evening when Luke's life would be majorly altered.
Who could have known that it actually would set him on the correct path that would help him fulfill his destiny?
Most details of that night were classified by the Empire, but there are some well documented points that are not in dispute.
Fact: Biggs and Luke were at the local cantina in Mos Eisley late one night in early December.
Fact: Three Twi'leks and a female Wookie were seen in Luke and Bigg’s booth drinking accarrgm (a potent Kashyyyk liquor) and plenty of Barium Frizzes (a local Tatooine favorite)
Unconfirmed: One of the Twi'leks was Oola, who would later become a slave of Jabba the Hutt because of this night
Unconfirmed: The female Wookie was Mallatobuck, Chewbacca’s wife
Fact: An altercation was started with Luke and Biggs by a un-named human smuggler and a Wookie
Fact: The damage to the cantina was over 10,000 credits
Fact: At least 10 Imperial Stormtroopers were dispatched to the cantina to break things up and several arrests were made, including Luke and Biggs (many witnesses confirm this)
Fact: There was no official record of Luke and Biggs being arrested.
Fact: There was no trial for the two young Tatooinians.
The facts were documented with eyewitness accounts and grainy photographs in local news papers and on several TooEenEr social media feeds.
A holocron is rumored to exist which details everything from that night and what followed with video and sound but to this day, no one can confirm this as fact.
Several calls were made over the years to the Emperor’s office to get a comment, but no calls have ever been returned.
The official statement from the office of the Emperor is “No Comment”.
Where the story really becomes unclear is how Biggs ended up at the Imperial Academy three days later and where Luke disappeared to for nearly six months.
The most popular rumor is that, since Luke was underage at the time, he was sent away to a secret Imperial re-education facility on another outer rim planet. There Luke may have undergone many controversial re-education procedures that may have included, but not limited to: Slime Boarding, sleeping naked in Rancor feces and Imperial Probe Droids doing very, very invasive things to the young Farmboy.
Six months after his disappearance that fateful night in December, Luke returned home a different man. On the outside Luke was now timid and appeared to be very naive. Luke could no longer remember at least the past year.
He was a completely different person now, forever changed by the Empire.
Some could argue that, if the rumors were true, that the re-education process works and the new, improved Luke Farmboy was proof of that. Whether you are for or against how it is accomplished, Luke could have been a poster boy for the Empire's re-education program if indeed he was a guest of the Empire.
On the other hand, it is possible that the techniques used were so extreme that Luke was beyond fractured.
Perhaps it all came back to haunt the Empire because Luke was now a broken boy living back at his Aunt and Uncle's homestead where he would eventually meet up with C-3PO, R2-D2 and Ben Kenobi.
The rest as they say, is history, or was it?
The other popular rumor surrounding the ‘Tatooine BadAss' legends is that all rumors about him were completely made up by the Empire after the destruction of the first Death Star.
Surely it would sound better that the Death Star was destroyed by some force controlling, light saber wielding, asskicking badass rather than a timid teenage farmboy, wouldn't it?
Though there are many rumors out there regarding Luke Skywalker's shady past, most Tatooinians truly believe Luke and Biggs were true rebels of society and tore up the planet leaving chaos, damage and many a broken heart (and bone) wherever they and their infamous T-16 would take them.
What do you believe?
