Guy, I hate to ask what is a good going rate for items but helping a friend, who isnt online. What is a good ballpark rate for the first release figures on card (C9), 12 back cards.

| Hey Welcome to TIG  I'm not an expert but I think it can be $400-$700 depending on character. There are a bunch of AFA graded ones on Ebay that are sitting in the $1000-$1200 range. |

| Thanks was looking at sold ones on ebay and somego for $200, some went for over a $1000 but wasn't enough sold ones to get a real guess as a going rate for a set. |

| If two or more buyers have the cash, I would expect a full set of Palitoy 12 backs to go for a serious premium at auction.
At least you are doing your homework before advertising, so that you can hopefully have a good idea of their approximate value!
I would expect them to easily make in excess of $6,000 US. |

| Hello,
Like most 'runs' in our collecting world the majority are fairly common to find, however, there are some real monsters in the Palitoy 12 backs run to trackdown.
Typically speaking Chewbacca & Luke will set you back at least £3-4k each IF you can find them (last public sale for a top notch Chewie was £5k!) swiftly followed by Han (Small head) and Ben then Vader, Leia etc.
I am certainly no Palitoy expert but if I were to build a war chest to hunt down the full run (C9 or AFA80 at least) I would estimate in the region of £25k+ (approx $38-40k) and most people get to 10 out of 12 and no further due the Luke & Chewie being so damn hard to find.
This is probably not the thread to mention variants but there's also the Large Head Han & possibly the mythical Palitoy VCJ to pony up for as well!

| thanks a lot guys, I was think around 30-35k (US) would be starting price, you know how these things go. You say a price, the other guy comes back, then you come back, etc etc |
