I bought my first GG Jumbo card a few months ago. It was R2D2. Once in hands the figure looked even better than expected from pictures on the Internet.
Since then I bought a few more cards, C-3PO, Tusken Raider, Gamorrean Guard. Not too many, these things take a lot of space. I already put Dengar on my wish list.

Gentle Giant announced the price for this, only $399,-
First the lifesize Stormtrooper idiot pricing and now this ridicolous priced Wampa ....

$399 Thats ridiculous, i wont be paying that, i was really looking forward to this, i thought it might cost twice the price as a standard $80 figure, but how is $399 justified, imo this is GG taking its customers for a ride.

I actually ordered this. Ended up being $359 as PMG Member with Free Shipping and Free 12" Luke Hoth. I also used $33 in bonus points. All in all I am OK with where I am at price wise as I just love this one! I know the price kills it for many and I was not excited about it either but sometimes you just buy the stuff you like! I don't buy alot of production items so that helps when something liek this comes along.
Cheers.

Is there any info on how this Jumbo Wampa will be packaged?
A big vintage style box with window would be great.

The scan does not look at all like the finished product ......
Sure want to see the figure used for the scans.

Who will be on the fence of buying this Jumbo Biker Scout?
Now imagine Gentle Giant would decide to make a 12 inch scaled vintage Speeder Bike for him....

I must admit I've gotten a bit carried away with these figures lately. The worst thing you can do is have them on display, they just look so cool that you can't help but want more of them In the last couple of months I've added the four cantina aliens, DSD and Zuckuss (old school 4-LOM for vintage fans). It's getting harder to draw the line and not buy more.
I think the one thing holding me back is my disappointment with the Leia figure (too tall and off white colour), Chewie (too short), and Tusken Raider (green cape). If these issues didn't exist I think I would easily be in for all the first 12. I had a chance to pick up a Stormie and Jawa today but gave it a miss because now I don't feel compelled to complete the set. Also, I'm out of room to display these guys!
I don't think there's too many more I would be tempted to pick up except for Luke Stormtrooper and maybe a Jedi Luke.
I was just thinking about the Wampa and wondering if it will still have the spring loaded arm feature? If so will rotocast vinyl provide enough rigidity to handle the extra stresses at the increased scale or is it likely to buckle? Any chance that they will cast the arms and torso in ABS to overcome this issue and maybe that's why it's so expensive?

I left this line a while ago, but im coming back in for the biker scout and Admiral Ackbar, the only one i got this year was zuckass (4 lom)
Cant wait for Ackbar, one of my all time favs, i see they have announced the Ugnaught aswell.
I keep saying i dont need any more, but these things are just so cool and display so awesome that its so hard to not be sucked back in for the good ones.

I love the line but man, they take up space especially if you want to display them carded! But I am happy I was able to display my Vader and Luke finally! I was ready to sell them off since I had no place for them.
I've got a Yoda that I love with my Yoda corner and I've given a Leia to my 3 year old niece. She's just getting into dolls but she is also understanding she is a princess!... both the doll and her of course!
I'm looking for an R2 right now but what I really would love to see is... wait for it... can you guess? ..... Leia Bespin!!! I think they are gonna skip her and if they do I'd be pissed! I'd even send them a perfect specimen if they need the ''right'' Leia Bespin to scan (not a fugly or cross-eyed one which I am sure they will choose if they ever make her).
