Dang, I even linked to this thread the other day but somehow I missed that stormtrooper addition. Skipping over stuff to quickly in the limelight section I guess.

Hi Clint. Thank you. It is not as yellow on the back, but still is pretty yellow. Plastic degradation. I am unsure if this is a result of UV light or temperature/humidity changes? Someone on Facebook told me to throw it in a bath of peroxide. My reply was I don't believe in chemically altering a piece, and I have no idea what sort of bad results could come from that, down the line. So he is going to stay as he is.

You said painted, does this represent a hand painted piece or was a spray masked used you think? Are their first shot stormtroopers that are not painted? How many first shot stormtroopers exist that are known? Is there a history to this piece like some of your others?

I figured I might as well bombard you with questions, feel free to tell me get lost if you want.

Bryan, great questions. First, thank you. I appreciate it. I only know of 6, and possibly 7 of these first shot Stormtroopers. I have done a ton of research and I believe my numbers are correct. It pretty much makes it one of the most difficult first shots to find, from the first 12. It is certainly up there with Vader.
I know of 1 unpainted first shot, that is also Don's. Don is not breaking his set up, he just needed funds for another purchase, and since he had 2, he let one go to me. Mine is spray mask painted. I have seen one hand painted Stormtrooper, but I believe the rest are like mine.
I did do some history digging on this piece. It comes from Wayne Thompson originally. He had an outstanding collection of first 20 prototypes at one time. I asked Wayne when and where he got it. He bought it directly from the Earth in 2004. He had the old emails to nail down the exact time period. I had always heard the 2004 Earth find may have had 1 stormtrooper first shot, but it was not offered in that particular sale. The reason why, was because it was sold to Wayne privately. So, Wayne and I both believe, that this first shot Stormtrooper came from that big 2004 Earth find originally. That is pretty much the whole history.
I am extremely happy and lucky to add this piece to my collection.
