Well.... I think I'm still interested in adding some pieces to the first 20, but it's going to be slow going. I am enjoying seeing all the new pieces everyone else is adding to their collections. But I do hope, over time, I can add a few more : )
As for RF Fett, I don't see that ever happening... Cool piece, REALLY cool. But just not for me.

Yeah, that's serious cash there! Is there any other prototypes of Fett out there that aren't RF versions, I've only ever seen various RF and Protomold RF versions, is there any EP's or anything like that?

But for the smaller figures, I have never seen a first shot or EP for the regular Boba Fett (with rocket welded in the back pack), I've only seen the un-produced T, J and L slot RF Fetts.
Somewhere I read once someone claimed to have a regular Boba Fett (with rocket welded in the back pack) first shot. I can't say if that is true or untrue. I doubted it because the molds were all ready to go when the plug was pulled on the RF Fett. I'm pretty sure the only modifications done at that time were on the torso/back pack. Since the molds were already set for the rest, that included coo/dates. So I kind of doubt anything like a first shot production Boba Fett exists. Now, I can't say the same for an EP. I've just never seen one, or heard of one...
If anyone would like to add anything, please do. I'd be curious to learn more...

ps- Oh yes, and then there is the kit bashed Fett prototypes from the earliest photography of the figure. Before the RF was even invented... BUT these have never surfaced. And if they are in someone's collection, that person aint talking. I honestly wouldn't either as they are probably worth 100k....

Im 90% sure that one of my collector friends once had and sold a standard Fett First Shot with a fixed rocket. I will go email him and reply to this thread when I know either way for sure.

Thanks Grant. I did a bit of research and indeed found there was a First Shot Fett (with sonic welded rocket/production) found/seen in the wild by some of the earlier proto hunters. So there may be others out there... You just hear so much about the un-produced RF Fett that other versions, like a production First Shot just don't get talked about as much. Good stuff : )

Congrats with your Yoda test sample. Great that you managed to get some solid provenance for him too.  


From what I understood this figure was artificially aged by passing it through a few freeze and thaw cycles.
So I was wondering whether you see any visible signs of stress on your Yoda, like plastic that has turned a bit more brittle, discolouration,.....


BTW: Was there also a S/U sample in the recent find to make your set complete.

I'm up late because of loud thunderstorms here and my cats are unhappy with the claps of thunder all around us.
I really think this Yoda is neat. The one thing I did notice about this Yoda is his head will pull out if I pull on it. It doesn't take much to extend it out. I'm sure this has to do with the testing he endured. Besides that, his paint is in very good shape.
One thing you may be able to help with is his accessories?.?. His belt is odd to me.    It is darker, much darker, plastic then any Yoda belt I have ever seen. All the accessories came from the same kenner employee find. I am starting to wonder if the belt may be a first shot? I have combed over pictures and information provided here on TIG, and compared his belt to the production samples I have here. The belt is just different and very dark. It's a dark umber. It has me completely stumped. Either way, it's a neat little difference to have displayed with this test sample : )
