What makes Belgium great and known for is allready been mentioned.
French Fries Great Beers (Westvleteren is actually crowned as best beer of the World.) Chocolat Tennis Smurfs and other Cartoons
Still however the previous years, when we got in the international news, it always had something to do with Kids locked in a basement... not so great to be known for...
For those not knowing our trappist beers (Westvleteren is a trappist).
A Trappist beer is a beer brewed by or under control of Trappist monks. There are a total of 174 Trappist monasteries worldwide (as of April 2011); only seven (six in Belgium, one in the Netherlands) produce Trappist beer and are authorized to label their beers with the Authentic Trappist Product logo that indicates a compliance to the various rules of the International Trappist Association.
And last but not least, i think we have some great music aswell, actually curious to know wich Belgium music you guys know.

Great call on the comedy series Paul, they're all absolute classics. My particular favourites are Black Adder, especially series II & the Young Ones episode 'Bambi'.

I gather Benny Hill was/is pretty popular in the states. Unfortunately in the UK his shows havn't been shown since he died 20 years ago. Aparantly they are not considered pc.
