| I have no problem with the question. I even posted some modern Fetts up in the Fett thread. Guess no one caught it either. The reason why I have no problem with it is cause it blends together. If someone was to get one and didnt know that those were released, there would be hundreds of threads on them. At least that info will be documented here, so it stays. And your response can stay too. |

| Hi guys, I have just started to focus on Luke FB, so this topic is very helpful, but I'll have to go over it and read it more carefully when I'm not so tired. The ones I have collected so far are already up and posted, but I have something quite nice to add. Below is a DT translucent prototype that is believed to have come from a find a while back in 2004 from an ex Kenner employee (I have a COA from The Earth)... I believe Matthias has the same ones on a tree of them! It has the letter 'R' on the hilt and is my absolute favourite piece!! Anyway, I hope this interests people? If these in anyway would help people who make reproduction items please let me know and I will remove them. Thanks, Bram |

| It's probably one of these: I'd love to see a group shot of your Luke FBs another pic from the find: EPs |

| Waouw Fabulous Lukes you have there! Thanks ofr sharing (and educating)! Question: The last Luke on the left seems to have a more squared face, is this the angle in which the picture was made or is he really different ? Thanks

| Beautiful translucent prototype DT saber. I like the way you display it! This is with out a doubt a sample from the 2004 Earth find. It matches my sample exactly, except I have a different letter marked on the handle. If you haven't done so already, you should contact Bill McBride regarding this sample, as I know he likes to document them for his own knowledge. I have heard a few other samples like this have surfaced from other finds, but it would make most sense that this came from the 2004 Earth find because you have a Earth COA (the date on the COA should confirm this?). Very nice collection, -Steve |

| EDITED by psybertech Since my pictures were lost by Flickr anyway, I also removed my n00b guesswork / detail investigation as Marco sums my thoughts up in the next post. Essentially the engraving of the COO is done by hand so not two will be exactly the same and since there are always two or more molds for each figure, there will be equally as many subtle differences in the COO itself.

| Hey PT,
You did some nice in detail research.
Those subtle differences in COOs probably represent copies of steel moulds which were used in paralel during production.
The moulds of the figures are therefore expected to be the same for those COO pairs. The only (small) differences being the COOs, which were engraved by hand.
Maybe you can check. |

| Just wondering if anyone would be able to clarify, I recently picked up a 3 line Hong Kong Black face paint Farmboy figure that has the leg markings more commonly associated with the Brown face paint 3 line figure.ie Wolff's guide No.6 Is that a common variant? Just i hadn't seen it before. My other Black face, 3 Line figures both have markings like Wolff's guide no. 3.
Appreciate any views or feedback, thanks Jeff |

| I have been meaning to document my Luke Farmboy focus/run for quite a while and seeing that Wolff just released v3 of his COO Guide, I figured there is no time like the present! I used the new v3 Guide's naming/numbering scheme and have no reference to the old. Out with the old!!!!! hehe So here is my loose Luke Farmboy focus/run... ( clicking the image will bring you to Flickr which will allow a full size rather than the small ones the "Enlarge this Image" will display) I noted any special points in the top right where appropriate when there were multiples of the same mold (hair/eye/pant color). The one that I am not sure on is the IIx1b "All F&^%$d Up" one. I know there is some transformant(s) at play here (pale face) and the hair probably as well. The hair really looks like the light brown/olive hair, but I haven't seen that in this family before so I am assuming in addition to the paling face effect, the hair too has transformed from the dark brown to this lighter brown/olive. The figure is beat up and has sloppy paint marks on the pants too. I didn't show my DT's since I display them separately. For what it is worth, my Circles variant DT came with the IIx1a Brown Eyes and my Regular DT came with no figure so who knows. I am missing:Ix3a (Glasslite or Meccano) IIx2a (PBP) IIx2b (PBP) IVx2b And a quick shot of my display......... And my DTs............ Regular lettered 'JJ' and Circles Versions
Anyway..... that's my run! I hope you liked it! cheers!

From what I have read and seen, it is not a POCH based on the COO (should be a IIx2b or IIx2a I believe  ) though the PBP cousin is in the same family before COO alterations. It's just messed up! Lots of stuff going on with it but I think mostly age and poor care but I do like it for its oddity. And thanks for the nod on the focus! The pictures help hide a bit of the discoloration. Really, only the IIIx1b Taiwan figure is hiding its discolored limbs well in photos. So.... only the really hard (and expensive) stuff to complete the COO run! cheers!

| Yeah I figured the coo was different, I just wondered if it might be a Poch 'hybrid'. But unless it was bought from a spanish collector, then that is also unlikeley. But you're right, an interesting figure all the same. Good luck with finding those last few gems |

| SW Luke Farmboy 1. European Smooth Deleted no CoO 2L HK (TIG guide #5) light brown hair (a childhood ROTJ card, sadly lost later into adulthood) 2. China 3L HK (TIG guide #8) blonde hair. A strange one. An eBay purchase from Brianstoys way back, & he came with a more translucent DT saber, they said he couldn't be AFA graded so sold him as a DT-maybe. I subsequently sold No 6 (£85, private sale, less than I paid for him) before I used TIG/Rebelscum/Others, to identify 'Circles' variant. 3. 3L HK (TIG guide #6) with early 'Circles' DT saber 4. 2L HK (TIG guide #1) badly welded torso, darker brown translucent hair 5. 2L HK (TIG guide #1) brown hair I used the old TIG guide: http://www.imperialgunneryforum.com/Vintage-Star-Wars-COO-Guide-h14.htm#Luke%20Skywalker%20-%20Original And sorry, China now has a Repro DT saber, but it's NEVER leaving my collection.
