Where did the pic of the POTF MOC Luke Stormie with a blue blaster come from AJ?

In another thread I questioned the colour of my example, as to me it looks grey/black not solid black, but from memory everybody was certain it should be solid black.

As it turns out suspected reseal!! I am still convinced anything other than a black V1 blaster is an error.

Thanks AJ. I'll check mine again, & try to take a decent pic through the AFA case (it was cheap at the time ) & slightly yellowed bubble.

they are 'different' not sure if it's thickness of paint, degradation or just a batch mix. I keep it as a curio. (justification to have more than one )

Yeah I definitely think there is something of a variation there. Like the Luke farmboy variations one appears to be a lighter orangey/brown and the other a darker olive/brown. If its just degradation you could argue the same for some of the many Luke farmboy hair colours too but from that picture it looks quite distinct.

Actually the painted first shots (not that many exist) for the Luke Stormtrooper all have much lighter brown coloured hair. So perhaps there is some variation with the very early figures being lighter.

I'm not too familiar with the different molds but are you're 2 variants different molds as well as different hair colours? So looks like a confirmed variation then right? :-)

I'd say these 2 are variants as all the HK factories where making slight plastic and paint Variants regularly, they could be from the same factory made at a different time or even a different factory altogether IMO. Is there any difference in the date stamps of your 2 James?

Here's a POTF Luke I borrowed of ebay(If you own it and want these pics remover just ask) This one has the Kader(HG) factory code and the HK Card COO sticker covering China?

Does anyone have or seen a different POTF Luke made by a different factory?

Slightly off topic, but both Droids characters (Kez-Iban & Thall Joben) which came with the same "Black Rifle" where made in the Kader factory (HG), cardbacks can be viewed here...

Just having a look through your guide Stef and It's very interesting that all the Droids figures with black weapons where all made in China.

My example is the same. In another thread I carefully lifted a HK COO sticker from a POTF Imperial Gunner card and that had 'Made In China' printed underneath, so it may be safe to assume Luke Stormie HG is the same.

Welcome to the team btw, I've been very absent the last 2 months.

Thanks for the welcome Steve and the info, I know James did the same as you with one of his cards because he told me about the China COO's under these stickers, not sure what character but it was a China COO. I wonder if there's any Macau Card COO's under these stickers to or if that factory was just supplying the Euro market??
