Not too bad based on just the one photo here. But the hair is way too short.

This came today, The Master - from The Deadly Assassin storyline.

Lol what a cool and creepy figure!

His cloak is made of very thick layers of plastic, so when I opened the moc the smell of escaping plastic gases was some trip!

He came with a cool blaster too!

THE MASTER: Curses Luke! Once again you have managed to mix up our blasters !
LUKE: I don't care! I prefer this one... it's bigger !!
THE MASTER: I'm telling your Father !!

Nice addition Paul. The figure looks more realistic than the photo of what was used in the show. lol!

Recently got mine. Agreed, the hair is not perfect and I'm kind of disappointed with this figure, but I guess it's the best we're gonna get so we may as well enjoy it!

A couple, yeah. I'll try and get some more pics up some time. Smile

It was recently announced that the line is gonna be changing from the current 5" scale to 3.75", meaning they'll be compatible with Star Wars figures! The change takes effect from next year. However, the Classic line will be remaining in 5" - it's just the New Series line that's switching to 3.75" scale.

I'm quite excited! cheers

I heard a rumour about that a while ago. I was told the change in scale was being planned in order to keep the retail cost at an acceptable level. It will be interesting to see how the detailing of the new scale figures compares to the current ones. Personally I think the 5" scale suits this line really well.

I'm glad it sounds like they're still keeping at least the classic line of the 5" alive. I'd be gutted if they stopped that scale completely.
Will be interesting to see what the 3.75s are like though - especially as they might be able to introduce more playsets - maybe even some spaceships & vehicles depending on what future episodes give us.

DarthSwales - love what you did to Rory! cheers

A pic of what to expect from the upcoming 3 3/4 scale:

Taken from: doctorwhotoys.net

As others say, the Doctor is a bit scrawny round the shoulders & arms. But I think his likeness & detailing is very nice. Love the Dalek too!

Thanks for sharing Paul!
Personally I'd prefer the 5" scale figures to be maintained, but these 3 3/4" figures appear to hold up pretty well!

I wonder when Disney will purchase this franchise? lol!

My Pyramids of Mars 'Mars' set arrived. The mummy guardians look like they're smiling Razz
Sutekh with his jackal head looks pretty cool I think.

The set goes well with my moc Pyramids of Mars mummy who looks much meaner than the two guardians I think.

Did you have any luck, Steve?

I was grumbling about the sculpt of the Rory figure a little while back. I had one for Christmas and have to admit when you see it for real it looks way much better than any photos I've seen. But now I come to look at my uploaded photo he kinda sucks again lol Razz
Still happy to add him to the collection tho. He's just crap at having his pic taken :-p

Unfortunately not. Crying or Very sad

I agree that camera angle doesn't do Rory any favours lol! Still... he looks better than the cross eyed Donna Noble I was offered recently.

The Brigadier sculpt is awesome, and it makes a nice little tribute I think to Nicholas Courtney.

Recent pickups, Dalek Strategist figure and Tom Baker era DVD The Ark in Space.
Included in the DVD extras some cool scans of vintage food promotions.
A double bonus for me as I love DW and vintage ads/oddball Cool

It's about time some new figures were released. I haven't bought any DW items for a good 6 months or more.
