Those banners are excellent! It would be cool to get them on rotation or even take off Forum and use them on the main site.

Use a multiple banner script, every refresh renews/replaces them, you can add loads and itll just select random ones.

This is the part where I excuse myself, because I stylet how I would contribute to the mainpage of TIG.

A part of designing is to integrate what is on a website, so that it flows better. All the words I would use to explane my thoungts of what I did and how I did it, is going to be hard to explane in english and would be an whole eassay.

So this link is just to inspire the hard work that lays behind the guys who made this site happen.

Thought this was a Banner competition .. And not a TIG kampainge competition with T-shirts and everything between:

Now, when you use the word "Brighter", I understand it as a more lighter icons, but I know this is not what you mean.

Now, when cyan color is the dominant color is hard to find complimentary colors for this. And a dark blue, will give a different relationship in the layout. Part of my thinking is that it must be well integrated so that your page looks the most dynamic

The red emblem is "blood red" may well make it darker, but brighter and then it is going to turn pink.

I can remove highlights of the effect, but then it comes to resemble shawn_k versions, without the white pixels around them. Thats why i highlightet the lettering in the banner.

See it is hard for me to discuss, Because of language differences. Part of developing these things is to ask the right questions and what the purpose is. Instead of having lots of icons and logos that are more work, it is often the imported thing to keep it as simple and manageable as possible.

For me, the icon is irrelevant because it already says "Users Online" and is not important enough to have an icon when we presume that those who are not online - do not have an icon.

If it is an important logo, I think coachk28 came with the best proposal, unless you want an "on" button just like on the old Phillips machines.
