| Having picked up the vintage collecting again after a bit of a dry spell, I realise I have lots of different areas of collecting going on. I've never been a loose or moc guy and tend to pick examples of these that I like rather than the need to complete a run.
Things I do try to add regularly are:
1, Luke X Wing/X Wing Fighter items. 2, paperwork items, which then fall into sub categories like adverts, comic runs, chirashi posters. 3, vinyl records - haven't added to this in a long while. 4, oddball stuff. 5, Japanese produced items
How about you?
Do you collect anything and everything SW?
Or are you focussed on just one character or line, or moc only, boxed, loose etc?
Do you have particular runs of anything you are trying to complete? |

| Only loose vintage figures. I like to play with mine.
Oh and I also love the new Hotwheels line of ships. I have quite a few of those. I like the playsets and ships also.
I've never understood the MOC and graded crowd. It's just personal preference really. Some people love absolutely mint figures and while I agree those are very cool. I like mine with a little bit of wear because I'm going to bring them to work and put some dings in mine. |

| Concerning Star wars my main focus is the purchase of vintage loose figure. i was frustrated as a kid because i wanted the 96 characters but not enough money. Now the dream is nearly reached. Next step will be creatures and a few ships.
I buy some modern figures when i see a nice one. Recently i got the disney infinity star wars line for example.
I can't give everything in star wars toys because i also like Playmobil Geobra vintage 1975/1985 Western, pirates and knights themes, and Knights, samurais and heroic fantasy lead figures. Delprado, eaglemoss etc it is common but some of them are great

| I'm pretty much all over the place, though I focus on vintage toys, modern 6" Black Series, and as I mentioned I do have a start on a paper collection. I also have a few Lego items, CS Slave I, Sandcrawler, Poe's X-wing, Star Destroyer, and the budget AT-AT, and I look in that aisle often just to see if there's anything else that catches my fancy. I have a POP bobble heads, most because of the Jabba the Hutt and Dewback w/ Sandtrooper sets. I'm looking forward to moving up with the paper stuff. I got started with toy boxes, instructions, and inserts. I added a few vintage posters including a ROTJ Hi-C promo poster, the fan club ESB issued poster w/ sticker, and a vaccination poster featuring R2 and Threepio I think I'd find it hard to pin down just one thing to focus on. I've been excited by ANH Leia figures, and have nabbed five unique figures. Plus the Vaders, where I have 7 unique figures. But those sorts of focus are very involved, and there are so many shades of variation. Where does it end? |

| Mostly loose. I’ve completed a near mint run minus VCJ and Blue Snaggletooth, the latter will be a 2018 goal for me.
I have decided to get some of the major variants so next year I’ll be trying to pick up a molded Face Luke Jedi and a better Condition Han Small Head. I’ve got most of the others.
Recently I bought Javi’s book so I’ll be trying to get some PBP figures though I think the POCH ones will be too prohibitively expensive and difficult to get my hands on.
Other than that I have a few MIB ships on my shopping list for 2018 - Slave 1, X-Wing Fighter and my main goal the Kenner Pop-Up bonnet landspeeder. |

| only loose , i have a few ships as well but dont need everything .. ive had a "complete" kenner set for over 20 years so my focus has really been foreign variants for a number of years . i really get alot of enjoyment from the the foreign lines and as many of you know im quite obsessed with poch/pbp |

| I have been in the middle of what I call a "cleanse" the past 3 months. I'm selling off a lot of my collection pieces (minus the crazy rare items) between Marvel, Star Wars, Walking Dead, etc. that isn't anything I want to focus on here and in the future.
I put a complete stop to Funko Pop (I have less than 12 left), and comic books (the past year and a half).
After completing my first run of Vintage Star Wars figures (minus DT, VCJ), I'm not looking to branch off into ships, playsets or monsters. I may go the paper route, and slowly the foreign route.. or Yoda focus.
My main areas of collecting as of now, minus Vintage Star Wars:
- Black Series 6" only, but I don't want them all. - Marvel Legends 6", same as above. - S.H. Figuarts - Dragonball Z line only.

| Matt, you sold off your comics or just quit buying new ones?
Speaking of marvel legends, I got hooked in on them. I started with wanting just the movie figures, but then decided i also want a Jim Lee style x men setup. Unfortunately it seems in order to get some of the build a figures you have to buy the non movie figures. I have a few figures I don't/didn't really want but needed the wing piece for the vulture or the hulk piece for the ragnarok hulk. |

| I've always been a loose figure & cardback guy ( as that is what I 'collected' as a child & what I kept) This year I've been frugal with my spending but trades have added some 'big' items for me ie. Takara C3PO, Singapore fan club sticker card. I'm trying to organise my shit!! Bought some acrylic & display cases.... most of my stuff is still in crates I still have 'cardback love'. Oddball stuff keeps me amused on a budget, Australian stuff blows the budget.... So yep- still no focus |

| I'm a foreign carded guy. I find the global reach of Star Wars fascinating. Its going to be a very light year , with my new venture taking center stage, but ill be happy just looking at my stuff |

We should start a Marvel Legends thread in the off topic section. I think I have close to 20-ish at the moment. |

| I will photo some of the ones I have handy later and start one. I have quite a few but due to no display space they are still in packaging. I did open them but put them back in their package until I get another cabinet to add them to. |

| When I said I'd find it hard to find one area of focus, I was wrong I've decided to stick to figures alone for right now. Which means I might offload the few vehicles and playsets I have, though they might just end up in a box. So, vintage 3.25 figures, until have a complete set, 6" Black Series, which I love, and a loose first release Leia focus and a small Vader focus. Plus some variants... I love variants. |

| Excellent and varied responses everyone. I think it's good there are so many different areas of Star Wars to collect. Should keep us all nice and busy for years to come. Aside from the vintage I mentioned, the only modern SW I collect is the 6 inch Black series. |

If not, I highly recommend them! |

| My focus keeps narrowing. I'm down to the first 21 and their variants + bounty hunters and the 6 inch Black Series, and maybe some unusual odds and ends. When I got started, I was all about having everything, I was totally obsessed, but it really just got to be too much. What's funny is that I started buying vintage with the intent of only picking up the first 12 |
