I really want to say thanks for the warmth and knowledge people on this board have shown me. I feel I'm beginning to get my "sea legs" and I appreciate the patience too. I know that it's easy for vets to say that the noobs need only look for the answers, but it's not easy when you're new and you want the answer to one question, and you need it now because you are so, so, so excited to be holding this amazing piece of plastic that has transported you back 40 years to being six years old again, and you want to know ALL THE THINGS! but don't yet have the patience to wade through pages and pages of threads, not even sure what to look for, afraid you'll miss something through all the ranting and repetition. That's why doctorates aren't award through study-at-home courses. But, I digress.
I'm much more well informed than I was a week ago, seriously, thanks to this wonderful resource. Today, I identified a no COO, supposed Lily Ledy. Chewbacca sold on ebay as almost certainly not a Lily Ledy no COO Chewbacca based on his color, eye size, and eye color. I felt pretty cool. I'm also looking at my newly acquired MITW Leia Organa next to her HK and MIHK sisters and I'm excited to see the stark differences, and wonder if there's cause for a thread to discuss them, since there are no COO guide or mould family guides for her at the moment, once I start taking measurements. And then there's my poor, diseased $10 At-At Driver, whom I'm wondering about cutting into to see what I can find out about those spots (I've read a few threads at this point). And, I want to do these things to give back some information to where I found it, trying to become a productive participant in this hobby.
Anyway, thanks all! Help yourself to your preferred beverage at my insistence.
