| And now for something completely different..... As a side hobby I collect coins, currency, and bullion. So one of the pages I belong to had these. I bought them all, had too! 1oz .999 silver ingots as Stormtrooper and Vader (1 Vader is 40 grams) These look to be hand poured but they're awesome!

| Those look really cool even upside down. I have another hobby in silversmithing so I make all kinds of Star Wars related items when I can. In the last pic it looks like the two on the left have a ridged pattern which might indicate they were made in a process called cuttlefish casting. Basically two halves of a cuttlefish bone are pressed around a model to form a mould which the silver is then poured into. |

| Those are really cool and unique. At first look, without reading your text, I thought they were bootleg pencil toppers Then I thought the Vader was C-3PO, then the last one on the right reminded me of Homer Simpson! No mistaking the stormies though. - DarthBerizing wrote:

Holding up a stage coach would be moderately cool, and it's pretty established that I'm the person that cool is furthest from I don't have a boatload, but I have silvers bars (from 1oz to 100oz) , few gold coins, and my favorite items which are a $500 and $1000 bill which are out of circulation in the US but still legal tender. |

| Well I think its cool and sound investments, star wars is the first thing i have ever collected and I suppose I look at it as an investment, but that side of it the bootlegs and actual silver, gold etc is intense John, kudos to you mate |

Hobbies are mostly only "cool" in the eye of the beholders I like the currency stuff. I don't have a ton in quantity but it's some stuff i really like. As a kid I always thought a $500 or $1000 bill would be the coolest thing ever. And, to me, it totally is! |

And, to me, it totally is! my father has walked around with a cc silver dollar in his pocket since he was 11 years old . hes 73 . before that his father walked around with it . he also owns a 500$ bill but hes a huge lionel collector and owns some of the rarest trains in the country . I hate trains . funny enough I love currency as well John , I just kinda gave up the thought of collecting it when I sold my silver dollar and 2$ bill collections for Marlboros yers ago , (I quit smoking 3 years ago btw) I collect many things , records , horror posters and movies , toys , golf flags etc............. I just enjoy people that collect things generally as I come from along line of collectors . that's why I love the forums . my kinda folks ... |

| @Bryan & Mark I’d love to share what I’ve made. Here is the shovel the Rancor Keeper used to keep the pit clean. Seriously though most of my projects are unfinished and I hate showing things until they are complete. All I could post are a few lightsabers I’ve made for the figures I have without accessories. I promise when I finish things I’ll post them in the customs section. The Falcon, unfortunately, isn’t likely to be finished within the next 40 years unless I suddenly become stupidly rich. |

| Very nice. I too am a numismatist. I have slowed down on my coin collecting over the years, but originally focused on US coins and Medieval coins. When I was a kid, I was really into world coins and so I have a lot of those, too. |

First off congrats on kicking the smoking habit. I dip tobacco and have for the past 22 or so years. Secondly I collect tons of stuff, most of it probably worthless to others but worth something to me and some collectors. I have a ton of comics, toys, knives, guns, various coins, police memorabilia, and movies (dvd and bluray, sold mostly all the old vhs except a few) The guns and knives I more or less inherited most of them, but I was a big gun guy already so I just added the ones I inherited to my already large amount. The knives I was never into but my dad was and when he passed I just didn't/don't have the desire to sell them. I don't have a ton of expensive coins, and the most expensive one is a gold 1 oz krugerrand, but I have a ton of wheat pennies and silver dollars and various other coins. Unfortunately I am a bit of a collecting hoarder. |

I go at least 3x a week while my shoulder still heals . when I get back to work itll go down to 2 though |

We have a good fishing thread down in the off topic if you ever want to throw some pics up. I love fishing also, but don't really get to go anymore. When I was in college I got my picture in the newspaper as my uncle, a friend, and myself were fishing at Holdenville lake. A reporter for the Holdenville newspaper came by and asked if we caught anything and we hadn't even gotten a bite. The friend named Jeff quickly threw out a lure and grabbed a little bass about 3 to 4 inches long and the reporter made him hold it way out from his body and took a photo of him holding that fish. In the pic it looks like a giant until you look close at its mouth and see his finger and thumb and realize it is a perspective thing. The pic of me and my uncle were sitting in chairs along the bank. He wrote some bullcrap about we caught all kinds of fish out there and we didn't even get another bite the whole time we were there. My uncle loves to tell that story, he thinks it is funny. |
