Hi all

mentioned on my 2-1b post i wasnt going to ask for my other figures verifying as poch but seen as i cant stop trawling the web looking for answers i would put another post up lol...in fact i am also adding another one soon which is my jawa.

Anyway i have 3 farmboy figures all 3 lemon hair with 3 line hong kong coo. the one in the centre i believe to be kenner the 2 either side puzzled think the one to the right is poch (due to how pale/white his hands are-amongst other things) but the one on the left share similar characteristics.

notice on the left and right ones the circle burn mark on the bottom left of his tunic.

these 2 pics show the slight burn marks on the back of his tunic (around shoulder bade level) the middle one again doesnt have these - Also notice the extrusion lines on the figure of the left on the first pic

luke (farmboy) -verification required Wp_20115

cant see it so well on this pic but the figure on the right has the same slight burn marks as the one above - Although the small hairline crack at the bottom centre does show on this one (again the one in the centre does not have this yet the one on the left above does)

luke (farmboy) -verification required Wp_20116

thes 2 pic shows the sloppy paint jobs- Top one is to the legs has gone on the underside of the tunic again the centre one doesnt. The one below to the hands ( the figure on the right is a lot paler than the other 2)

finally the underside of the feet. Trying to stand the left and right one was tricky due to the molding the centre one is not perfect either but in comparison to the other two is fairly normal

interested to hear your thoughts

its very hard to tell from your pictures . poch lukes pants should be green in hue . the luke on the right does look to have the correct raised eyebrow for a blonde haired luke . the question really lies where did you purchase these figures . From a spanish source? it doesn't appear any of these have the correct pants color or meltmarks known for this particular variant . although that is not always a tell tale sign . do you have closer pictures of the back and butt are ? is it my eyes or are none of their hands the correct pale ? one maybe close , more picutres up close would help

I will get some more pics up today.

I have been reading an article that wolff has put to together that shows the luke poch farm boy with the same marks on his back as my figures. There is also an article on the same site that points out that poch figures have also been known to have mixed assembly features ie ordinary kenner legs poch torso arms etc.

Here is the thing, poch figures are rare. Even in Spain there are kenner and poch both so finding a poch figure is a rarity. Melt marks, bad welding, deformities, etc are not identifiers. To many collectors grab a crappy figure from somewhere and say "it must be poch because it is half melted and falling apart". This just doesnt make it poch. Poch figures have unique paint applications before you even begin looking for defects. If these were not sourced out of Spain the chance they are poch drops drastically. If they were sourced in spain there is still at least a 50% (if not higher) chance they are not poch. So it is important to know where they came from first and foremost. Secondly as bill said the only one with hands close enough in paint is the left one (and even it doesn't look quite right) as the middle is degradation and the other is to pink. The leg color isn't right either. Even with mixed limbs theory, if all the paint on a mixed limbs figure doesn't match a known poch example, how can you call it poch?

heres some pictures to help you out . poch lukes pants have a greenish hue with inconsistent paint application applied . I also took a picture of my brown haired poch luke to let you see how the paint applications with the exception of the head are very much the same . the coo picture is the known coo for a blonde haired poch luke . notice the paint color on the necks of my 2 poch lukes . this is the paint color the hands should also be .in the picture with the 3 lukes that I just took the left is kenner the 2 next to him are poch. hope this helps
