| Hi folks. Well here he is, the first Star Wars figure I ever had: Play worn & tatty around the edges he may be, yet, still very a much loved & cherished part of my collection. Do you guys remember or, even better, still own their first Star Wars figure? Cheers |

Thankfully mum saved almost my entire childhood collection Knowing AJ, it was an Ewok. Even if he started collecting in 1978 it was an Ewok................ My brother used all my figures for target practice when he got a BB gun. Wait, BB gun, BB8? OMG is this some kinds of tie in to my life? BTW my first figure (I think) was Darth Vader! |

| My first figures were shared with my brother and sadly I no longer have any of them. They were Vader, R2-D2, a Stormtooper and 2 C3PO's (my parants obviously thought it was important that we had one each for some reason). We also had a diecast X-Wing each and two figural soaps, my brother got R2 and I got C3PO. I then went crazy and spent virtually every penny I could get on Star Wars, nothing changes. |

| My first figure was Han back in 1978 I think  Sadly I ended up biting his head off and got a bit of a scare when it got briefly stuck in the back of my throat A bit of a panic and a few coughs freed it and I'm pleased to say I no longer do that with any of my figures Disclaimer I was only 8 or 9 years old

| The earliest figures I can remember having are C-3PO, Ben and a Stormtrooper - I think the stormie belonged to my mate actually. Can remember Vader and DSC too. I no longer have any of my original figures but I did find two childhood SW books fairly recently so I'm pleased to have at least something |

| I have no idea who was my first figure, but I do own all of my childhood figures which I'm very, very happy about. Almost everyone of them are also in great condition. I think I counted 70 figurers from my childhood |

| Matt's first figure was a can of beer? Most of my figures were hand me down so I remember boba fett, Vader, Luke farmboy, Han hoth, leia original and yoda. The first figure I ever got that was mine and I can remember opening was wicket. There was never anyone who could beat wicket in a fight after that. |

| bit of a brief story with my first- i spent my childhood with my nan, 2 uncles and 1 auntie, as you can guess i was lucky and got almost 2 of every figure. the first set i played with and then later on my nan gave them away to charity etc. The second set was never touched all kept in there bubbles with there weapons from card (nan was very tidy),they are a complete run of 1-60 they are literally perfect, unsnapped limbs and everything so very proud of them. i found these hidden away 2 years ago when my nan passed away and now they remind me of my childhood with her and that is also when the addiction began. Anyway i know that it was 1 of these 3 that i opened first (i am pretty sure it was vader) |

| It was either Bespin Luke or the Hoth Stormtrooper (maybe both at the same time).
Fortunately, I still have all my original figures from my childhood. They are worn and played with, but I love them. |

| My very first figure was the Luke X-wing pilot on my 4th birthday in Aug 1978.
Then within two weeks later, i got a R2-D2 and 3PO.
And that was it until the following Christmas .... when Santa practically brought me everything else Star Wars. I would love to have seen the look on my face when i saw that Millennium Falcon under the tree, beside the 17 remaining carded figs. |

| I vividly remember buying my first two (both at once) Star Wars figures. I got Obi Wan and a Stormtrooper. My brat brother insisted upon getting Luke and Vader, so I got my favorite Obi Wan and a Stormie for play value. I still have them. |

| Old Ben has lost a lot of hair. The Stormtrooper looks good in the photo, but his arms and legs have yellowed. |

| Wow, still have the weapons and capes. My figures had to resort to the toothpick for a lightsaber. |

| Great to see such loved figures, do you still have the rest of your childhood collection? I sold all of mine in the 90s when I was a student and needed money for beer, now, like so many others, I wholeheartedly regret doing so. |

| Star Wars figures were an anomaly for me. I saw ANH with my parents the first week it was open and I remember the experience. Well, the impressions the movie made on my 7 year old self. I slowly amassed a huge collection of figures and the franchise became something special as my Mom took my brother and me to see ESB & Jedi on opening day. I was a fan and SW figures were a safe bet for birthdays and Christmas. I believe I nearly had them all up to Jedi releases. I played with my figures and of course lost a few things along the way (still need to replace the black Leia blaster), but I was careful with a lot of my SW stuff. I treated it differently than my GI Joes or Mego figures. Sadly, about half of my collection was lost in a move and somewhere out there is a treasure chest of vintage weapons (I kept a bunch in a plastic jar). I still have many including my first few. A few years ago I started trying to replace missing items, but just stuff I had. I became scared off by repro and my lack of experience. You guys talk about 12-backs and COOs while I cowl clutching my Darth Vader carrying case of childhood memories. I am slowly rebuilding on the (about 40) figures I was able to drag along with me through this thing called life. Thanks for the interest. |
