'Takara' Power Droid
The custom shop is open!
The Power Droid was a brain child that popped into my head while in my friends shop, the wind-up robot I used was just some random figure, the company is something called 'Hans'
I had to modify the body by removing the arms and then breaking it open and cutting down the overall width of the figures body and head, then it was sprayed black and the legs painted silver.
The Power Droid was then split open and I hollowed out as much of the body as possible to reduce weight and also allow movability as the head of the robot also moves from side to side on a central fulcrum creating a kind of sea-saw effect which I was hoping would allow the Power Droid body to do as it would ultimately be glued to the head..... It does, but you can't really tell
The central pivet for the head can be seen here:
And the finished result can be seen here
And finally, the video

Nice work on the powerdroid , with all that space in the body it almost looks like it was intended to be made like this + now you have the legs to make imperial attack droid c

This is an awesome idea. You did a great job.

Such a simple idea that it's brilliant. I enjoyed the photos os the inner workings. Is there a reason why wind-up toys have the in-step spokes?
