| Hey guys just curious has anyone here gotten a baggie figure autographed before, I am wondering as Anthony Daniels will be at the Seattle Comicon and I have 2 items I am thinking of getting him to sign, If I had the funds I would get both. I never seen a signed baggie before and an wondering how hard it would be to sign and what would be the best thing to use I am thinking a black sharpie as once dry it will be on there for good. I also have a sealed C3P0 model kit that would be easy to sign but takes more room, I am hoping to get a friend to get the item signed for me as I wont be able to go. Here are both items I am thinking about. I could also go through my loose cards and get him to sign a 3P0 one but I am sure there are lots of signed cards out there |

| Larry, ultimately it is up to you, but I would probably skip getting the bagged figure signed. Flat surfaces are a lot easier to sign and would be more legible signatures. The Baggie may be an awkward item and produce a sloppier signature. Plus signing on plastic it could smear or smudge prior to drying depending on the handling of it. I think the model box would be cool. If your looking for unique items because cards are rather common place you could always find a carded pez dispenser or something equally unique. Just a suggestion though. |

| good idea I guess that is why I don't see signed baggies I will most likely do the model, I might cut the plastic enough to sign but still be unable to open just to ensure a good signature. It's not something I plan on selling anytime in the near future. I also just found out Carrie Fisher will be at the Vancouver comicon so will have to get her to sign something as well I already have George Lucas, Billy Dee Williams, Peter Mayhew, Jeremy Bulloch and David Prowse I have a nice little autograph collection going. |

| Personally I wouldn't get any vintage item signed. For the same money, you can get a dedicated, signed photo. About three years ago I was offered a signed 'Dave Prowse' vintage moc Vader. The money being asked was fine for a clean example, but for me, the signature devalued it. |

I tend to agree with this as well. I always think what a shame when I see a signed autographed vintage item (especially MOCs) and I give it a wide berth as a result. If it's about resale value, then autographing a quality vintage piece (your baggie) is risky as it will immediately reduce the people interested in it in my opinion. However, if it's something you've always wanted to have then that's entirely different. Out of the three options the model kit box would be the best as the signature would be more legible. The baggie could just end up being messy. |

| If I was going to get Anthony's autograph I would hunt down one of these cards ... That would make a great conversation piece |

James, I reckon you should make a custom fig of that card to add to your pimpin' custom range Larry, I personally wouldn't autograph vintage SW items when you can get really good photos, though I think I might make an exception for a vinyl record because they're generally accepted well with autos. There are a few records out there with C-3PO on the cover. I'd rather have John Williams auto on one though, but from what I've read it's costly and difficult to get his sig. It's an interesting debate though. Do collectors think it's more acceptable for things like posters, lobby cards and programmes to be autographed? Rather than moc and boxed stuff and the like. |

Yes - a penis wielding C-3PO will make a great custom ... just added that to my "Bucket List" I probably wouldn't get a hard to find vintage item autographed but a photo or a trading card would be cool I was serious about that C-3po card - although it is kind of sought after , from what I understand , it is actually more common then the card they replaced it with once parents started complaining  |

| I do like that card Idea James . I never thought about getting vintage stuff signed and it being devalued that is a good point. A photo would look good with the rest of the signed ones I already have as well. Thanks guys for the input and if I do find that card hell ya I will get it signed |
