Blue plastic piece over x wing motor Empty
PostSubject: Blue plastic piece over x wing motor   Blue plastic piece over x wing motor I_icon_minitimeSun Dec 22, 2013 1:45 am

Has anyone taken the blue plastic piece that holds the X wing motor in place out? I can't tell if its glued in place or held on some other way.

If you took it out, how did you get it out?

Thanks,

John

John, there's a good repair breakdown in this thread: http://www.imperialgunneryforum.com/t3454-how-to-repair-your-xwing-picture-heavy?highlight=X+Wing+repair

might help, good luck.

Why do you need to remove the motor? They 'always' come back to life

It does look 'welded' in place. I'd imagine brute force or a drill to remove it & superglue for the fix.

Unfortunately mine did not come back to life by spinning it. I am trying to jump start it with a 9 volt battery, but I cannot get the wires from the 9 volt into the motor. If could get the motor out I could get the wires right into the motor.

Just trace the wires that do go to the motor & hook the 9 volt battery to a suitable joint/connection.

Do you mean maybe back to the metal connectors that the 2 AA batteries sit on?
