Hello everyone, been a while.... a few unexpected positive turns in life has made time very limited these days!  

I'm in the process of condensing my collection and came across this Luke Bespin 41 back that I had picked up in a vintage lot some time ago.

It's certainly a reseal. The bubble was cut or cracked down the side and the blaster was retaped but the lightsaber appears untouched from the factory and the figure was removed. Regardless, I don't collect reseals and I don't know much about ESB 41 backs.

Would you open it? trade/sell the item as it is? What would be the ethical process of returning this piece back into the community?

I think you'd be fine selling it advertised as a reseal. Looking at the photo's, even if someone down the line tried to pass it off as factory sealed, they wouldn't get away with it, so hopefully no one would get scammed.

If I was you, I'd give it to me, it's nearly Christmas after all  

Keep it as it is. Every figure has a story and it'd be a shame to artificially change this one. It's be a starter for a new collector.

Clearly Alex may want this   It's on his Christmas list. I've also sent a message to someone that may want just the cardback. Since you don't want it helping 2 people would be a bonus.

If it's already opened, I think it doesn't matter what you do. See what gives you the best overall result (reseal vs. loose figure and cardback)
