As I sat at my computer yesterday I got a message from someone asking if I'd be interested in an item I've been searching for! I don't want to say much about what it is yet but the point was that it just came out of nowhere!! Years of searching and then BAM!!!

Anyone else ever just have the mountain come to Muhammad?

Not really, probably the closest I can think of was when you had the the 12 inch ledy R2D2 and I mentioned I wanted one and you sold it to me. I can't think of a time when a Grail came out of nowhere to private sell to me, just out of the blue.

Not yet, but maybe its just coincidence, somebody might have put them on to you??

If not, then i would treat it as suspect?? because how else would they know you wanted that item.........

It's probably from a trusted source. Most of us have feelers out in various places for hard-to-find pieces. I would imagine this person new John wanted this piece and just decided to sell out of the blue.

Hmmm if this is true i will be wanting a couple of darths to finish my collection soon might have to put it in the WTB threads??

I'm sure he will once deal is complete.  If he told the name of the person or the item(depending on rarity of item) someone could try to backdoor it. None of these s would do that I would hope, but sometimes greed and or desire are a strong force to reckon with.

Forgot to say, for sure make a wtb if you have some. You never know it may or may not get you some leads. It doesn't hurt to have it out there though.

It's happened to me a few times, the last one was a takara stormie blaster, I doubted for a while I'd find one then out of the blue..."I hear your after one of those?"

I am always grateful for the random message: "Check this out, Ewok lover!!"  or  "Not seen this canoe before you should get this!!!!!!..."


I did not get the canoe ( it did go to great home thou)

I recently completed this 'aussie' run without even looking
