| Hi Folks, Recently I've sent out a couple of PM's to people asking for rough valuations on specific variations that are top of my 'wants' list for the coming months and into next year. I can guage a rough price for many figures and variations, but there are some, especially some of the slightly harder to find variations that don't show up to often where it becomes difficult to guage what sort of price I should be thinking about. After a discussion with Steve, we thought maybe a Price Request thread would be a good idea and would be helpful to not only seasoned collectors but also to those new to the hobbie. Between the loose collectors and the MOC collectors, the specialist focus collectors and the... well just damn right knowledgable folk on board here at TIG, should you have a price or valuation request, then there will probably be someone here more than willing to help IMPORTANT : TIG has a rule about not outing a live auction which can be read HERE, so please respect this rule when using this thread. |

| I'll get the ball roling then, what sort of price should I be looking at for an ice pack and a tube of Anusol the alternate sculpt Power Droid as seen below which Steve purchased recently? |

| I'd say a little more than £10 for one in such condition. £12 - £15 |

| It's always going to be difficult to pin point a price, ebay typically £10+ will get you a nice one. On the forums you can pick up power droids stateside for as little as $5-$8 each. I did spot a buy-it-now in the UK for £18 also sold.
I didn't notice anyone listing them as an "alternative sculpt" so these things just seem to be mixed up then the deep vee one's, so it's worth spending the time borrowing through the listings and hoping no one else spots it. |

| Great topic Alex I am glad you and Steve put your heads togeather and started this thread I agree with the market vaule for the Short V sculpt Power Droid In comparable C9 condition I usually sell them for arround $20 (US dollars) - a little less if their not as nice , a little more for better ones . I also agree that if you have the time and patience to look through Ebay auctions you can always find them for bargain prices That pretty well goes for any variation though , theres always good deals to be had if you look around long enough Since thats not really the question here though I would agree with the approximate market vaules above . If someone that knows what he has sells it to a collector who knows what they want the approximate market vaule is $20 (give or take a little) for a C9 Short V , Small V , Alternate sculpt or whatever the hell you want to call it Power Droid |

| Thanks for starting the thread Alex. I suspected that I paid the 'right' price for mine, & the responses so far have confirmed it! I have recently heard of one being advertised at nearly £50.00. |

| This is a very interesting thread indeed. I've yet to obtain a full set of figures, let alone consider figure variations.
Ones I'm particularly interested in buying now are both Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker (Farm boy) from the first film.
I've seen these at figures ranging from £20 to £80. Naturally, condition and original equipment dependent.
What would be considered a reasonable price for these two figure at C9+, but not from a rare production run? |

| I'd say a nice Luke farmboy and original leia should set you back £30-£35 each.

That's all together a reasonable price indeed. I think £40 would be my max. Anything above that and I would want something justifiably special! |

| The general price range for a good condition version of either of these two figures usually tends to be between £20 to £30.
But I agree with Stef here if you're wanting C9+ , so pure white, with all accessories intact, you'll definately be hitting £30+ in all but the luckiest of occasions. |

| They're also the 2 most expensive figures out of the first 12. |

| I'll give you a tenner for it Jim Tough one that, I've seen a Vader sell with just the outer DT for $750 but that was about 10 years ago and that's Vader, a whole different ball game. Even for a complete DT Luke the price can be all over the show, depending on condition, and to me the figure is irrelevant, your only really paying for the saber anyway, I've seen complete DT Lukes sell for less than $200 to over $500 for high grade ones, and some actually for sale (Brians Toys) for $1399 . This though is just the outer part and I guess the market again would be all over the place, some would view at as incomplete and stay away as it would only mean trying to find the inner bit which is also the harder bit to find. On the other hand, some cheaper bastards (Like me) could view it as the nearest they might get to ever owning a DT saber. And then of course you have possibly some guy who has just the inner bit and is looking for the outer, or has a busted outer and is looking for a replacement. I really wouldn't know my self Jim, like you said, it's not something that comes around very often. |

| James, I think the most knowledgable dt saber guy around is bill mcbride who is on here as sithtoys I think. He is pretty much the saber guy to go to for vader and Ben sabers so I am sure he knows Luke's too. I would imagine he keeps a pretty close eye on the market. Having said that, if I had to guess and this outer was paired with a really nice luke, I would say you would be in the $250 range. I haven't seen any recent sales and don't generally keep track of them much anymore since I got one a year or so back. Good find though. |

As probably the only person on the forum who actually has one, surely we should be asking you! |

Thanks Bryan I guess if no one else here at TIG has any idea of a fair price for the saber I will try to ask Mr. Bill |

| Last one I saw sell loose was graded and pretty high if I remember rightly, 80 or 85 I can't remember, again it was several years ago and that was for sale for $4000, and it didn't stay for sale for long so I assume some one paid that. So with that in mind, the condition and lack of weapon, surely like AJ said $2000+ |
