| Thought it was deterioration but it's actually different cardstock with slightly different punch holes ( & white vs black text 'MR') " /> These have 'Mod' not 'No.' ( there is at least 3 different fonts for the 'No.' " /> Vader is blue 'MR' & Lili Ledy doesn't have the white trim |

I second this idea...Id love to swap. Here is an update pic of my Cardback binders. On the top left each pile: The leia is foreign doubles, Tusken is Canadian cards, ben is US jedi, the trooper is a Lili Ledy (my only) Bottom row left: death squad is US Doubles, Bossk is Foreign cards, trooper is US SW and US Esb and the Boba Binder is all cut/pop missing/very damaged US cards. |

| I'm always looking to trade some of my extra's. Unfortunately, all I have is some standard US carbacks at the moment. I'll try to get some good pictures to post. |

| The Canadian Nein Nunb's with offer show up every once in a while. They are a little bit hard to get because he was a mail in figure here in Canada, so most kids already had him that way. ROTJ Nien Nunb 65a back |

| Yes a MOC price will generally proportionally reflect a cardback price. ie. Ledy MOCs are very expensive & the cardbacks aren't cheap either. Don't make the mistake I did & use 12back.com for the 'labels' as they can contradict SWCA & Kellerman. 'Generally' debut/rookie cards will be slightly more sort after. The alternate art Luke & Leia Bespin may get you $15-$20, the rest $10 or so.
Take a look at Jamie's past sales to get a bit of an indication: http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_nkw=&_sacat=0&_udlo=&_udhi=&_ftrt=901&_ftrv=1&_sabdlo=&_sabdhi=&_samilow=&_samihi=&_sadis=10&_fpos=&LH_SALE_CURRENCY=0&_fss=1&_fsradio=%26LH_SpecificSeller%3D1&_saslop=1&_sasl=toy_harvest&_sop=12&_dmd=1&_ipg=50&LH_Complete=1&rt=nc |

| Thanks for the link and rough prices. Some of these will be up for sale or trade in the next few weeks. I'm trying to get a complete run of nice ROTJ Kenner/Palitoy cardbacks, but some of these will be hard to let go of as they are right up my street* condition wise. (*perfect for me) No wonder some foreign nationals have trouble learning or understanding English when it's full of nonsensical mid sentence sayings. |

| Just a quick observation. While taking some photos of my extra cardbacks last night. I notice that most of the US ROTJ 65 & 77 backs that I have, with the factory codes HN & two with HG are approx 3mm shorter than the 65 backs with the factory codes TJ. Anyone else notice this? |

| Good observation Clint. I was aware that Toltoys cards are smaller in size, but I have to admit that I have always assumed that Kenner cards were all the same size regardless of the coo or factory code printed on them. So, Taiwan cards are larger than Hong Kong. Well you've taught me something today. I'll go & check mine. |

| Steve, I had assumed they were all the same size as well till last night. I don't have very many US cards to make a good observation. But I will have to check my Canadian cards and see if there is any difference in them as well. |

| I've got a Kenner 79 back TJ (Made In Taiwan) which is also ~3mm taller than my Kenner 65, 77 (Hong Kong) & 79 (Mexico) backs.

| Curiosity got the better of me this afternoon. I just checked my Canadian cardbacks. Of all the cardbacks that I have, only 7 are not Made in Hong Kong. I'm going to assume that most, but not all of the Canadian stock came from the Hong Kong factories. All the Made in Hong Kong cards are the same size. This includes the SW, ESB & ROTJ. The 4 ROTJ Made in Taiwan cards are taller by 3mm. (Luke Jedi, Wicket, AT-ST Driver & Rancor Keeper) The 1 SW Made in Japan (Walking R2) card is approx. 1 1/2 - 2mm taller and wider than the Hong Kong cards. The 2 ROTJ Made in Mexico (Paploo & Lumat) cards are the same size as the Taiwan cards, but with larger rounder corners and have the hole punch behind the figure. |

| Are you guys really gonna make me measure my cardbacks? My girlfriend already thinks I'm a geek and this isn't helping! For the record, the New Zealand 21 back cards are appreciably smaller than regular cardbacks. These don't sport the Toltoys logo but we refer to them as such because at the time that was the distributor in Australia and New Zealand and current evidence strongly suggests they were manufactured locally in New Zealand. Other Toltoys cardbacks are the same size as your standard cardback, or so close as to not be worth worrying about. I will run some measurements later today though to confirm this. |

| The 'Toltoys' 32 back is too big to fit in a toploader 12 back Taiwan are also longer. edit: have Kenner & Toltoys Luke & R2 Taiwan all taller cards. (missing Leia, Chewy & Vader) A little bit just sticks out from a toploader ( same as Lili Ledy ) There are no ESB Taiwan cardbacks?

| OK, so out of curiosity I spent Sunday arvo going through my cardback collection looking at heights of different versions. So, yes the NZ heritage 32 back cards are a couple of mm taller than most other cards. Not only are they taller by a couple of mm but they are also wider by about the same amount. I did note a number of other cards that exceeded the norm too, at least height wise but none of these appeared to share the same width. My Canadian Paploo and Lumat Jedi cards (the only way short of proof cards to get these two without a mail away offer) are also taller than the norm by the same amount. There are also some other anomalies too though. I have a Biker Scout that's also the same height. For the details people this was a 65 back with the Ewoks blacked out. The initials TJ are next to the POP and the card states "Figures made in Taiwan". Also a 79 back offerless Ree Yees also marked TJ and Made in Taiwan. Add to the list my 77 back offerless Ackbar and Luke Jedi also marked the TJ and Made in Taiwan. So the common theme here appears to be cards from Taiwan and I recall hearing that previously about certain figure, particularly the Luke Jedi. Adding to this theory I have two 12 back cards, a Leia and Chewbacca also Made in Taiwan and also slightly taller than other cardbacks. Interesting both of these cardbacks have the metric sticker on the back. From my Toltoys cardbacks: Luke, Leia, Artoo (a smidge shorter but still taller than the norm), Chewbacca, Vader #1, Vader #2 (like the Artoo a smidge shorter but still taller than the norm) are also taller than others. Included in my Toltoys cardbacks are a couple with the metric height sticker on Hong Kong cards but these are the standard card height. The Artoo and Vader middle size cards have a unique hole punch too which I find quite interesting. Of all my Toltoys cards all Taiwan made ones are taller, all Hong Kong made ones are standards size without exception. My Ledy black background 14 back card is the same height as the tall cards. My Ledy grey 30 back is even slightly taller. The few Palitoy cardbacks I have are all Hong Kong made and all standard size along with the lone Harbert cardback I have. So it appears pretty significant that Taiwan cards are consistently taller. My cardback collection isn't all encompassing though so I'd be interested if anyone out there has a Taiwan card from any movie that is a standard height. Oh, and the NZ 32 backs are all Made in Hong Kong although I have suspicions that the figures are Made in Hong Kong but the packaging may have been made locally in NZ. More pointless information from your local cardback collector

| Sometimes, just sometimes the cardback collecting gods smile upon you and reward you for all the time spent looking in dark corners and chasing down leads. These all came from a local collector and all are Australian. What's the Rancor Keeper doing in there you ask? Looking closer you can see a large square pattern on the card which represents where one of the yellow coin stickers originally sat and was unfortunately removed at some stage. There's the tiniest residue of yellow remaining in part of the adhesive to confirm this (probably not visible in the photo but trust me, it's there). It's been a long time since I've added anything to my collection but what a way to break the drought (there were also a bunch of very nice condition 77 and 79 backs that these came with). The Nikto will be a great upgrade to the one I currently have and then my old one will become trade bait for either a POTG Gamorrean Guard or POTF AT-AT Driver cardback. I'm a very happy camper today |

| WOW, well done you don't see these everyday. And in great condition too. I also like seeing the aussie price stickers on the cards. |
