I'm quite excited to add this Snowtrooper to my Canadian collection, a ROTJ 65A back:
It looks pretty cool next to my Sideshow 1/6 scale Snowtrooper, I pounced on the preorder early enough to get the Exclusive version that includes the Kenner style rifle:

A few of my recent pickups... nothing fancy, but I have a question about one which I will save for last.
Landspeeder box (no inserts, LP logo) in not the greatest shape, but it is whole.
Early Bird Mail Away Stand in really good shape - not perfect but still nice
Droids Factory 3-legged R2 (OK shape but I will upgrade him at some point)
No COO (COO#5 I believe) light brown hair (I haven't seen any others up close so I am not sure if this is light or dark - hard to tell from all the pictures I have seen)
And finally, a TriLogo Fett (COO #4 - split scar - upD/pK - dark belt?) - with a big question about the foot peg holes next....
What is the deal with these foot peg holes? It is hard to see in the pictures, but the hex part is so deep that they don't "bite" onto a standard Protech stand. I wouldn't have noticed if I hadn't put him on one. The peg from the stand simply won't make it in. The smaller ones I picked up (eBay from UK seller) do bite, but just barely (stand seen in the Fett pictures above). Measuring the Protech stands peg height shows they are 3mm. The smaller stands are 4.5mm, so that extra 1.5mm is what helps. So I guess the peg hole hex part starts around 3.5mm up his foot.
Is this normal for this COO or TriLogo figures in general? He came from a seller in the UK (GB) if that helps. Or should I post this question in the FOTW Fett thread?
cheers and thanks!!!

AJ: Congrats on the 12'' TolToys Luke. Great find! Hey wait a minute, a MIM Vader too! Didn't see that at first sight. Nice
Jesse: Your Canadian Snowtrooper rocks together with the Sideshow Snowtrooper. Cool they released this figure also with a Kenner like riffle.
JJ: Nice loose Han Hoth variants, Gorneesh, and Tri cardbacks.
PT: Congrats picking up the boxed Landspeeder, Display Stand, Luke (light brown hair I would say), 3 leg R2, and Tri Fett. The length of the peg on the smaller display stand is only 2 mm (instead of 4.5 mm) when measured from the base. The same mistake is made more often for these type of measurements. BTW: You might be the first to have discovered that the hexagonal 'grip' of the peg holes on the Tri Fetts is placed somewhat deeper. Never heard about that before.
Cheers

A couple more pickups... The Unarts just showed up this morning from Joseph_Y. Thank you!!! The vader is super cool and so is that trooper!!!
And Joe kindly threw in these cool, odd, weird things. Pencil Toppers???? Can someone tell me what these exactly are?
My first Gunner... cracked bubble on top
and to add a bit to my loose Bespin Leia focus, a 31 Back MOC...
and to just add a bit more to the Tri Fett foot peg holes, here are the dimensions from a Mail Away display stand, the Protech vintage black stands and those small clear ones. The MADS is about 4.25mm so the small clear ones are closest to the original Kenner designed pegs where Protech seems to have skimped a bit by 1.5mm. So far, in my limited collection, the Fett is the only figure that has this "issue". Not really an "issue" but kinda stinks since I wanted to display him on a black Protech stand and I don't want to use blue tack but I guess I should be able to thicken it enough using some tape. Yeah, actually, that should work OK. I am curious to know if the all Tri Fetts are like this or not.

Great new addition : ) A production piece (just want to be very clear so I don't get mistaken for calling it a prototype). This came from a former Kenner employee. That means a lot to know the Kenner employee it came from and the provenance. Thank you Tim (BornTheYearOf). I appreciate your kindness. It does feature some cool traits... : ) -Steve

Hey Steve,
Congrats on the R5. Nice from Tim (BornTheYearOf) that he offered this to you.
Curious....a production piece...from a former Kenner employee....not a prototype.......an EP maybe....or a 'normal' production figure?

Hi Marco, because it has dates and a coo, at best it could be considered a production sample or unmarked EP's (NO hand written numbers under the feet). But I'm not going to label it that way, I'm going to call it a production piece only. Talked to another about this. I'm not going to name it anything that it isn't. But the individual told me when he went on finds, back in the day, would find protoypes and amongst them would be unmarked EP's. These finds came from former Kenner Employee's homes/garages ect... Those pieces would just simply get thrown in a pile with the rest of the production figures and sold off as such. But it's still special to me to have this piece in my collection : )
Hi Jason : ) Long time, no talk : )
