| I am having some major problems using the newest photobucket version. Many times (>75%) uploads fail. I have to retry a few times then, till it works. While doing so, very often the Photobucket page refuses to load, which can sometimes last a few minutes!! Moreover I like my pics to be sorted from new to old uploads. The pics I want to post show up immediately that way and I don't have to browse through my albums. But somehow Photobucket keeps listing them in alphabetical order, though I changed my setting to order chronologically many times. Just linking pics for a post takes me more than 10 minutes sometimes, it is frustrating. Most of the times I use Chrome, but I have the same problems with FireFox, and IE. Maybe you experience the same problems and found a solution? BTW: I didn't have all these problems with the old Photobucket version. |

| Sorry to hear of your frustrations Marco. The only image hosting site I've used is 'servimg'. So far I've not encountered any problems, but then I only use it to upload pictures onto this site. |

| I've had a lot of similar problems with Photobucket lately too. I want to switch to someone else, but I have so many photos with them and don't want to go through the effort of reuploading them all to a new host. It's frustrating because they seemed so reliable in the past. |

| I've had no issues with uploading, but the photos keep going to alphabetical index despite unchecking the box. I did manage to re-enable the 'easy linking mode' which saves having to open a drop menu page each time you want to grab a code Reading up, it looks like there are quite a few bugs they need to iron out on the system before they make the final switch on 18th March. If you read some of the comments from users who actually subscribe (I use free version) they're spitting blood because of all the glitches and many threatening to move site. Hope they get it fixed soon. |

My only complaint about them is having to upload only ONE photo at a time. I also have photobucket, and flickr. Flickr sucks, because unless you pay for an account, you're limited to only 200 photos. |

| Haven't used Photobucket in awhile. Sounds like I'll want to stab out my brain with a fork whenever I go get back to it. |

| I'm in the same boat as some of the others that have posted here. I've been having problem with Photobucket for a while, but I hate to move onto something else because I have so much there already. I just got an iPad and installed the Photobucket app today. I haven't given it a shot yet to see if the experience is any better on the iPad yet though. |

do you loose old pictures if you don't use the account? I haven't used it since they made the changes- I would hate to loose a lot of my pics |

I'd be ticked if they decided to remove old pics because someone hadn't used them in a while because I have some stuff there of when my kids came home after being born. |

I'd be saving those to hard drive. I'd hate to see something happen like webshots |

| Don't worry. They are on the hard drive as well, but hard drives go bad. I use it mainly as an "offsite recovery". Also, it's easier to find them in my Photobucket folders. |

| Hi Wing Commanders, Wookies, and what-not.
I'm with the Photobucket team and wanted to reach out to Dr. Dengar and anyone else on the forum that is having issues. First let me acknowledge that Photobucket has been going through a lot of changes to the site. In fact we are getting ready to roll out the latest version of the site this Monday July 18th.
Our developers and everyone on the Photobucket team has been working overtime to improve the site experience.
I want to assure you that we care about all our customers. And this forum is an important part of that community. So please do bear with us as we work to improve the user experience.
That said if you are having issues with the current site please let me know and I can feedback to my customer support team.
Some things to try. If you are having trouble uploading you might try using the desktop uploader. Other simple things to try are different browsers, to see if they perform better for you. Firefox and Chrome seem to work best.
I'm concerned about those upload times. If that is consistent it would be interesting to figure out where the bottleneck is. You might have improved performance by setting your DNS to point to Google DNS as your ISP may not be getting updated as quick as google.
Link removed
Those are just a couple of quick ideas.
