Thanks Marco, their haircuts looked so much like the Beatles I couldn't resist. I was in the process of making some little guitars and drums, but left my rebo mics at home, so scrapped the idea! - wbobafett wrote:

Wolff, go for it. I'd love to see someone with your model making skills make an abbey road diaroma |

| A bit of a souring over the ordeal with AFA, but a nice MOC for me. Getting it is a funny story. After the Blue Stars loos raffle, a member reached out to me about the whole valuation and issues that arose from doing it. We went back and forth and he started saying he was contemplating selling his MOC to fund some other purchases. Well that started a dialogue that ended in my buying it! So I guess karma bent my way a little. |

| Received a nice 'domed' pop-up R2 with very bad stickers. Saber screams 'repro' to me (was described as original). Can i request a value for the R2 alone so i can estimate if i should take action or not. I guess they'll both just serve as 'placeholder'.. |

| Just scratch the saber, see if paint comes off. Telltale for that saber.
Value on a beat R2 w/ no saber? I'd say $10-$20

| No shortage of good stuff posted by everyone in this thread.... Dr Dengar and the LL video, Walkie continuing to acquire really nice loose variants and John posting the Uzay Blue Stars... I think that R2 saber is a repro, I would certainly take action. I agree with John on value. Found these three guys at a garage sale this morning, yes a garage sale... Couldn't leave these sitting in the wild and for the price it was a no brainer. Not even two minutes after we agreed on a price, another two arrived and immediately hawked what I was holding in my hands. Needless to say, it was me walking back to my car with a shopping bag and Saturday morning smile thanks to a matter of minutes. These are MOC numbers 30, 31 and 32 in my collection that have been locally rescued from the wild, 2 years actively searching. |

| some really nice pick ups again guys i love the abbey road re shoot stefan very cool poch? Luke farm boy Marco Awesome uzay blue stars moc John although i'm sorry to hear you had a rough time of it with the AFA and a really nice collection of mocs there Mike. Thargoil i had a similar experience to you with my recent purchase. I bought the yoda on the right of the pic (coo#2) with orange snake and light coloured cane from e bay, mainly for his accessories to finish off my newly aquired light green Yoda with orange eyes (coo#2). The accessories were listed as originals but once i got them in hand it was obvious the cane was a painted repro. So i opened a case against the seller asking for a partial refund as i was bidding for original accessories and so felt i had been duped into bidding more than the item was worth. The seller contacted me within minutes of opening the case, heard what i had to say and was very apologetic and refunded me £10.00 straight away. So i guess its reassuring to know that not everyone on e bay is a scammer. Thargoil i hope you are able to come to an amicable agreement with the guy that sold you that R2 with repro saber. Oh and very nice fish tank setup you got going there. [img] [/img] my other recent purchase was a coo#9 palitoy? chewie. [img] [/img] On a bit of a Palitoy theme at the mo as i have also acquired some Palitoy mini rig instructions one of which being a palitoy MLC-3 instruction sheet courtesy of Sefan, Cheers mate. I'm also waiting on a Palitoy boxed Cap -2, a roguse caped coo#9 PBP vader and a Bespin leia cape. Oh and i've sourced a genuine light brown Yoda cane too. So i'm quite happy to send the repro cane to TIG if you want it or i'll bin it |
