Found this on ebay - description says MINT. Emailed the seller to inform him that it is a custom paint job therefore not mint. He emailed back saying

"Appreciate the heads up, I've been collecting for over 20 years, it looks factory to me may just be the photo, I certainly never at any time Painted them"



I am sure that it's a custom paint job (and a bad one at that) but hey.......let me know what your thoughts are??

= I bought it painted by some kid but I'll spin some crap on ebay hoping someone will pay crack money for it


Been collecting for 20 years- so IF you really thought you had something rare you'd verify it & get real top dollar for it.

If the seller thinks those boots were factory painted he needs his eyes testing. You can see patches of the brown plastic showing through!

where is the seller from??? if this is in oregon it might be a figure I once had LOL LOL

it's most likely just coincidence, but back in the day when I first started collecting a Han Bespin with black boots found it's way into my collection I figured it wasn't real and sold it off to some kid who I think just was buying my extras to play with. Or it went in a large lot of figures I sold to buy MOC items. it was a nice paint job so I think it was an older kid's custom or an adult that painted them

for sure seeing this Han sure brought back memories most likely not the same han but for sure the same custom paint job idea LOL

Thats defo not a Factory error

In all my years of collecting, I have never seen a Han Solo Bespin with black boots, unless it's a custom paintjob. Not a variation, not a factory error, not a pre-production figure, just a standard figure where someone painted the boots.

One would think that after having collected for 20 years, he would spot a painted figure, especially if he is good enough to grade it mint. Though, last years "Mint" have been more of a sales trick on ebay. Even crap have been named mint. It's very annoying and a seller that does that is not to be trusted.

I have been collecting for years myself and will freely admit I am no expert but that has fake written all over it.
