I think most the joy I get from my small collection is the research that has gone into it. I wasn't satisfied with a COA signed by an expert regarding these pieces. I actually wanted to really dig back in history and really try to uncover where each piece came from and when and how they were found. It has been a lot of work, reading online, writing/emailing many "old time" collectors... But for the most part, I have been able to really find out some wonderful facts about each piece in my collection, that was never known when I bought them. It just adds to the provenance and it can be a lot of fun too : )

Steve, I love how your tracking and stating the history on these. This is a great collection of prototypes. I am happy you were able to add the dt (well at least the outer sleeve) to obi wan to begin to restore him to the way he was found. Very Cool.

Steve: Fantastic achievement, landing these two pieces of history: FS and wax sculpt Lando. They just belong to your collection.

Q: How does the wax sculpt material feel, is it like a candle or softer?

Hi Marco. Thanks for the kind words. To be honest, because it is also hand painted, I have tried to handle the sculpt as little as possible. When I did take photos though, it seemed like a candle material.

Like others have stated, the history you provide for each prototype is really educational. However, I have a question or two. By chance, the did the figure and others pictured originate from a find around late 1994 or early 1995? If not, do they date back to the late 1990's? I am aware of The Earth finds in the 1990's, but not aware of Jordan's around that time.

What makes the figure an internal first shot versus a "standard" first shot? Personally, I think the fact of it being hand painted and non-sonic welded makes it a IFS, but other collectors have debated this, based on the type of molds (low yield, I think) being used in house.I am not talking about protomolded figures, but specifically ones that are different than production figures.
