I have finally just got round to watching the Star Wars Holiday Special I bought a couple of months ago, now I think I'm going to go down to the cellar and shoot my self!

Yes it really is that bad! The Boba fett animation is about as good as it gets, I bought mine off Ebay, some guy flogging it complete with about 50 adverts for Star Wars toys, it was worth it just for them, I'd forgotten how bad adverts where in the 70's & 80's, not that I'm saying there any more interesting now, lets just say it was nostalgic.

I'm actually scared to watch the Holiday Special, I'm not sure I'm mentally stable enough to handle what it will do to me after all the comments I've heard about it over the years.

It's a B movie from Turkey that just stole some space scenes from popular Sci Fi films of the 70'S/80'S I think.
I think you can find scenes on youtube (but beware it is SHIT- but maybe worth a watch if you are on drugs)

The movie is fascinatingly horrible, lol. It does have some rough cut scenes from Star Wars (mostly the same ones over and over) and the background music is actually from Indiana Jones. Unfortunately no Headman or Blue Stars, lol.

I started to watch The Holiday Special on you tube one afternoon, probably 6 months ago. What I saw was really bad. But about 15 minutes in I had to rush out for something at the store or whatever it was. I never thought about getting back to it after I got home. I just remembered now reading this thread. I don't know if I'll check it out again.

Thanks Steve, that movie was so bad it started to be beautiful again.
Indeed they stole a lot of material from Star Wars, cut and pasted together in a way that the remaning movie lacks any sense.

Dude, that is BAD ASS!!! It's so horrible it's great! I especially love the music. Was that a disco version of the old Battlestar Gallactica theme I heard in the beginning? And the 3 seconds of the Indiana Jones music!
