Subject: Star Wars Holiday Special Bootleg VHS focus Sun Oct 19, 2014 11:48 am
This might be one of the strangest things to have a focus of, and I should probably be committed to a mental institution for it, but for some reason I just can't stop buying these . The quality of these tapes range from pretty good to almost being unwatchable.
The two holy grails of this collection though are the last two tapes in this pic. One is a partial 1st generation Betamax recording from WCBS New York and the other is a complete 1st generation VHS recording from WHIO Dayton, Ohio.

Thanks! I have seen it and he has some awesome stuff. I was recently able to identify a found object used as one of the props in the special. It's the "cassette" with the holographic circus. The prop is literally just a cassette tape with the label removed
The exact type of tape is a Scotch Highlander. I've had a few of these for a while and had no clue that they were used as a prop until I watched the 1st generation recording a few times.
