i just love this one

one of my favourite from my childhood
the issue with the great ROTJ poster!
naturally, I lost it completely
ten years ago I caught the poster in the flea market:

All my PIFs are complete and come fom either Ebay or local flea markets. Later I will post up the picture of all the PIF magazines I have with SW.
Yes the issue 759 is incredibly difficult to find complete with poster. Most of the time kids would take the poster off and put it up on the wall. I got very lucky and managed to get mine for 20 euros.
You have done well to get the poster!

One other thing I really like about PIF is the other toy adverts they show as well. If you like vintage LEGO and Playmobil etc you can find some great ads! Please check out my blog to see others that I have scanned: http://thevintagetoyadvertiser.over-blog.com/#

and I like those old "non sw" ads as well, especially "Big Jim" scenes and "TCR" racing pics

and thank you for your infos about issue 759
the same old story, I took the poster off and put it up on my wall and once it damaged somehow
and PIF 759 has been lost somehow as well

so the poster I uploaded yesterday is my 2nd specimen

No probs I'm looking for this issue again + a poster for a couple of other guys on the forum, when I've found these I can try and look for a copy of 759 for you too.

Hi, following on from this last advert I managed to obtain the actual issue PIF Poche Special Jeux Nov 83.
Here are the pics of the front and back cover plus a detail of the actual games console which is Intellivision and the cart which is Revenge Of The Jedi 1.

I'm well pleased to add this to my PIF collection

Glad to see you were able to land that issue, Paul. Too bad they never came out with those Revenge games. Finding the boxes alone is hard as hell to do. I stopped looking for them for now.

Great thread guys. I didn't know squat about this Pif magazine but I'm getting a real kick out of seeing all these old ads from it. I especially enjoy all those ads with the figures posed in all those funny scenarios. That's some funny stuff

Paul-I also checked out your blog on those other toy ads. Very cool site. I don't know how you keep up your energy. Between your figure collecting, posting about your toy ads, and helping out us lazier collectors, (not to mention you just moved to a different country) a lesser man would have cracked under all that pressure! Keep up the good work

I own the 78 wishbook and that is where you will find the sears cantina one. The rest of these scans came from someone else, but I assume the one with utility belts and stuffed Jawa came out of Canada.

I bought a lot of old PIFs today!
Every issue from 638 to 686 plus some bonuses (for example 595, The Empire Strikes Back edition etc...)
So, my legendary "half-page" Miro-Meccano ads collection is full complete now!!!!
And they are not only the pictures, without the magazines.
Nope, they ARE absolutely COMPLETE with the complete issues in perfect condition! They are containing all those ads! Ooooh Yeah! What a bargain!
