| Lovely items lads! I can't pick out a favourite - I Love them all. My last post for a while ... so before I drop off the radar, here’s My 5: Most people know I’m mad about Luke Jedi, Coins and other vintage Promo Kenner items by now so I tried to find items not in these categories. First up is a vintage bootleg Darth Vader money bank. It’s the similar to the HCF star wars pencil toppers I had in the eighties. Next up are three figures that took a lot of sweat and tears to get hold of. I got the DT Luke and Blue Snag in back when I was in school and I eventually got the VC Jawa when I was about to start University in 97. This was before eBay and online stores were available and the prices were quite high. It took ages for me to save for them even with a few paper rounds and a Saturday job. Next is the Palitoy double sided ESB sign. These signs were suspended from the toy displays back in the day. I paid a premium for this sign a couple of years back from a seller who has quite a dodgy eBay record. It took months of excuses and let downs before it finally arrived. After hearing some bad stories from fellow collectors, I’m very lucky to have got it in the end. Next is not vintage but if there was one thing that means more to me than anything else star wars I own then it’s my mail-away Georgie-boy! My misses knowing at the time that I collected mailers but never actually received one as a kid went on a little galactic hunt of her own. She tracked down all the figures by herself in Wales and at her home in England, sent off the coupon to Hasbro and excitedly waited for weeks on my behalf. I didn’t know anything about it until Christmas morning. She kept all the packaging, paperwork, and mailer coupons for me too! Man she’s the one!!!! Ok that wasn't vintage... but hopefully my last and fith item will make up for it... Last up is the pure manifestation of my mantra of "never-ever giving up" and my natural ability to nag someone in to selling anything to me. I wanted one of these shiny stars since first seeing one in Steve Sansweet’s book. It took me over a decade of looking and months of emailing to finally get one. Here, I present the Lucite Star which takes pride of place in my Cast and Crew collection: |

| The first three are; 1. Takara wood X-wing model (Supposedly from the Lucas Licensing archive) 2. Canadian Destroy Death Star Game (Purchase on a trip to Canada) 3. R2-D2 cookie jar (Recieved as a gift) I had to break rule #1 because the next one wouldn't fit in the same picture: 4. Early Kenner Chewbacca standee display with original bag (Bought from a seller who found it in storage at an old toy store in Cincinnati) And last but not least: 5. Don Ellise and the Survivals Star Wars Theme acetate |
