| Hello everybody , I finally could get this green background Darth Vader case insert and would like to know more about it... it has ROTJ figures so I guess it is from the ROTJ release version of the case but what I like the most of it is that it has Lili Ledy’s Burgandy Cape Bib Fortuna and the first two last 17 Ewok figures ) Is this insert really rare ? Is it the one that came with Lili Ledy Vader’s case ?? Its been a while that I wanted to get and paid a fortune for it , almost $35 USD ( Was it worth it ? Honestly I like it so much but I paid more than twice of what I was thinking but since I rarely see it I went for it , should I feel bad about it ?? Look forward to your comments !! Thanks !! |

Hey there, the Vader case Insert you have is the one that came with the KENNER US RotJ Case in 1983. It shows 65 figures. Later that year a case was released (the last one) with a 77er Insert. On the wrap around cardboard it should read "Collect all 65". I have no idea why a burgundy bib is on there, but chances are it was a prototype of some kind that was taken to the photographers studio? Maybe other collectors know more about that subject. Not sure if you are after putting a complete Vader Case together so I have enclosed a pic of mine; it used to be sealed but sadly the tape came loose - so here is a look into a complete case :-) |

| The "burgundy Bib" in the picture is actually a rare Kenner red cape prototype Bib http://theswca.com/index.php?action=disp_item&item_id=48822 he was used for Kenner photography and you can also see him on the 77 back cardbacks |

| Hi, could you show me a picture of the back of that sleeve? There were supposed to be two versions of the ROTJ case - a 65bk and 77 (or79)bk version, but I have never seen a 77/79bk sleeve and have a theory that it was only the insert and sticker sheet that was different. Does yours have 65 figures on the back?
Thanks, Pat |

Thanks, Pat hey pat, same here, i have never seen a 77 back. the one in my pics a 65er. I think your theory is very likely - and might (???) also apply to the C-3PO Case - there is a 65er and a 77er insert, but up to now I have only seen 65er sleeves. Have you at least seen a Vader 77 (or 79) Insert? Course I havent either (not the sleeve nor the insert) It is mentioned on http://theswca.com by Ron Salvatore in his list though. Thats why I mentioned it. |
