Should be some info in here in the thread itself as well as the links in the first post of the thread.

Hopefully my picture loaded. It is a white molded sleeves variant. However in the reference links regarding the white sleeved Lobot, it is described as plastic degradation. I am not so sure though.

I started digging into this variant quite a while back and i am a believer it isn't degradation. In fact I have seen some with one sleeve or the other being white as well as both sleeves being white. It is in line with the belief of how these would have been produced with white limbs ending in a bin of normal yellow limbs and figures getting mixed parts upon assembly. I didn't do a ton of digging but I have not been shown a variant that was in the middle of changing so I tend to lean towards this was actually a production item that had a batch of white plastic make it through to molding.

I agree with you that the white sleeve Lobot is probably production. I think your theory that white plastic made it through production is likely. Especially as you, yourself has seen Lobots with both a yellow and a white arm. Off the top of my head, it seems when the plastic degrades on a figure, it is usually always all the limbs, not just one.
