| this rifle fails the drop test, feels stiff, although it is NOT painted over with black paint as per imperial armoury . Is this 100% fake? |

| rub it on a bit of paper as if you are trying to write with it. |

| If you have an original check the length- if they are the same length I suspect your sinker is a fake. My fake does leave a mark if you 'write' with it. My sinking Glasslite is slightly longer but 65- 66mm is too close to go off by measuring. |

| The original has a handguard design which extend all the way to the TOP, but the suspected repros handguard design only ends halfway on a straight line |

| Notice the handguard design unmentioned and compare it to the painted repros, they look exactly the same, the pattern extending only half way and ending in a straight line, instead of extending all the way up(original rifle). |

I noticed, but this is a new reproduction variant. Instead of painted it is cast, that's new information. That's all I am trying to get. I am almost positive it is reproduction just a version we haven't seen prior so want it documented as well as possible. Hence asking for further test. |

| Just did the test. It floats after 3 seconds, it sinks. |

| So we now have a reproduction that is cast in black material but luckily has a tell on the handle and sinks. If you can take a front and back photo of it Paul may wish to add this to the main site if your willing to allow the photos to be used. Please indicate if you are and I will alert Paul to the thread. Thanks. |

the correct way to do the float test is to place the item under water and see if it floats back to the surface. |
