| I know we have some threads with what exist, but what all is coming? I know of a few.
1. Javi's pbp/poch book- to be released hopefully soon. 2. JoeY's bootleg book- don't know that I have heard a release time, but thought someone had said within the next year. 3. Kellerman 2nd edition- who the heck knows when that will happen been in the works for a long time. 4. Todd DeMartino' Star Wars saga museum book- supposed to be by the end of the year but who knows.
Does anybody know of any others? Which of these do you consider a must get for vintage guys? I know javi's book and joe's are both on my to get list, and kellerman is one I want, but most say it mainly talks about carded which isn't my thing. The other seems it will cover everything from vintage to modern so not sure about it.

Bill I bet the one your thinking of is From Meccano to Trilogo by Stephane. He has a second book also called La French Touch. I don't have either one, though I have heard good things about the first one. I think he is a member here, and know he is on RS. |

First one is a well-established classic now. The second, newer, book is a little gem with lots of French SW history and oddball stuff inside. I'd totally reccommend both. I'd like to see a book covering all the vehicles, play-sets and boxed stuff. A bit like our own Project Outside The Box thread but with the focus not just on packaging but on the vehicle variations as well. |

| Paul, that would be a fantastic book also. In line with that have you seen some of the posts on RS by Bonsai Tree?
He has done a couple of vehicle so far and here is the newest one. http://forum.rebelscum.com/t1122628/ His attention to little detail variants on these is AMAZING. He sees stuff I would never see. |

| Yeah I've seen some of Matt's vehicle threads, they're very good. A combination of that along with packaging variants would be cool I think. |

| Not a book solely covering the toys, but from what I can gather, it covers a countries reception of the movie and the merchandise. Looks like it will talk about everything from the initial release all the way to now, so might not be exactly the vintage resource most will want.

| I just ordered "La Guerre des Etoiles - la saga vue de France" (litterally 'The Star Wars saga as seen from France') on Amazon. I am looking forward to Javi's book and second edition of Stéphane's French Touch. Mod edit: link to the e-book removed for reasons explained to that op. |

| Does anyone have any news on the bootleg book from joeY? I am not in Facebook and don't see Joe around here much anymore. Just wondering if it is still in the works or turned into a stalled project. |

| Hi there speaking about books, you can find the 'FRENCH TOUCH 2016 Edition: The Definitive Guide to French vintage Star Wars collectibles 1977-1987' (unofficial book) - forum link here As it has been mentioned here, I also have co-authored my first OFFICIALLY licensed book, which is titled “La Guerre des Etoiles – la saga vue de France” (literally “The Star Wars saga seen from France”). It’s a beautiful 200 pages large-size hardcover book for a general audience which was released early november in France. It reviews the entire Star Wars phenomenon in France from 1977 to 2015, which includes the movies promotion, their adaptation / dubbing into French, French artists (eg. Benjamin Carré, Cédric Delsaux, Frisano...), toys and various products like food premiums, and a great chapter about the French fandom. We achieved two major things doing it – it is the first time a book is released in France without being a translation of a previously available U.S. book, and also the first time since 20 years that Lucasfilm allows usage of the original French Star Wars pyramidal shaped logo on an official product. You can find it on Amazon: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/2364803721 |

That book looks great the cover looks stunning. But as an Englishman I know how sacred the French take there language so please don't take this the wrong way, but are there any plans on releasing an English version of this book? I don't think my French is up to reading the book, it don't even work when we visit Disneyland Paris. |

| Well, it's a question which has been raised several times but we currently don't know if an English version will be released. Honestly I don't think there are any plans to do so because it is quite complicated in terms of rights and publishing.
But I guess that if many English-readers are asking for it, maybe they'll see an interest in doing it !?
btw, I forgot about the Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/lasagastarwarsvuedefrance/
