So a while back I bought a statue of judge dredd from the UK. The statue arrived broken and after telling the seller and showing photos and going through a bunch of crap on my time I get a refund and am still dealing with the situation. USPS asked me to bring the statue to the post office for inspection......then gave me the statue back and the worker said if they needed to keep it they will contact me again to bring it to them. So now I am going to have to take time out to go yet again to the post office so they can keep the statue that I have already taken up there twice now so they could inspect the box and contents for the insurance claim. What a giant hassle.

Anyway today another statue I ordered arrives. I open the box and am super happy to see packing peanuts and all sorts of bubble wrap and everything on this statue. I finally get past the packing and guess what......another broken statue. What the hell is happening with these packages? Are they playing football with them or what. The box shows no outer damage and the statue was wrapped in so much it looked bomb proof. How the hell did it break?

With the first one I was really skeptical as there was a small fragment that I couldn't find in the box and to be honest it was wrapped ok, but not great. With a second one that was wrapped better than most of the vintage Star Wars toys I have bought have been wrapped........now I am thinking something has to be up.

I told the seller when I paid that the last statue I had gotten off eBay had been broken, and asked them to make sure they did a great job wrapping this and in my opinion they really did. Somehow the postal service has managed to screw the contents up anyway though. Luckily the second seller so far has been really cool about it. I think it is going to be another insurance claim. The worst thing dealing with that is the repeated trips that USPS has made me do. They refused to keep the statue, but said if a letter came I am lawfully bound to follow the instructions of it. Of course this is time consuming as well as costing gas to make runs up there and all of it on my dime not the sellers. Really there is nothing to be done I guess. I am just pissed off at the moment and needs to vent a bit. Sorry for rambling.

Man you are having no luck with ordering are you bud. I would say once possibly seller twice with different sellers got to be something the post office is doing IMO.

I have had no luck with statues that is for sure. I have ordered three and two of them so far have been broken. What sucks is the second broken one is very hard to find and I have seen it three times since I began looking but only once listed at a reasonable price. One of the others is listed right now for $700+ USD which is stupid crazy even for the rarity of this statue. I didn't notice it at the time of posting but the second statue has a global shipping sticker on it that says it was repacked. I never really pay much attention to the shipping method other than the price so I guess they used that Global ebay thing so maybe when they repacked it, it got broken? So for me now this is a flag not to buy if they are going to use that. Haven't heard from the seller today, but as of yesterday he was cool about it just asked me for pics.
