I bought a small lot off a guy local to me who was clearing out his loft, included was a Leia with cape, any opinions on if it's original or repro ? The figure is a no COO but I know the cape could have been swapped at some point, reason I ask is that it doesn't do the zipping noise when you rub your nails on either side, although there is a texture on the inside, it would be strange if it was repro because the lot was this guy's childhood collection that's been in his loft all these years and he had no real reason to lie because he was only going to throw them out before I expressed an interest, so do all Leia capes make the zipping sound? I sold one of these to Lars on SWFUK, that one also came of a No COO figure and I still think it's legit, I'm not sure he's convinced though but there is a tusken and hoth troopers out there that also come without the zippy sound Cape. You can read about it here....

Here are just a few quickly found threads regarding the leia cape. If one side is smooth and the other doesn't have the cross hatch but has some texture it may still be authentic. Varying opinions on these, but most seem to think the Taiwan cape is made of thinner material than the Hong Kong with a texture on one side and smoothness on the other. The texture is not the same crosshatch that is seen on other capes nor on the Hong Kong cape.
