I hope I am posting this in the right place. I was lucky enough to save all of my Star Wars toys as a kid, and even took a bunch of my friends stuff when they got to cool for toys.
I have been slowly selling my collection on Ebay and until recently did not know that there were replicas of weapons, and the dual scope sabers. I bought a Luke Skywalker on ebay back in 1999 and am trying to find out if it is real before I attempt to sell it.

So my questions are:
1) How can I post pictures for someone to look at and maybe help me? I do not want to attempt to sell forgeries, and I do not know where else to look. I checked the guide here, but I don't think I see the one I have in the pictures.

The Luke I have has the light bnrown vest. The leg says GMFGI 1977 Hong Kong, which I found out is General Mills Fun Group or something like that. The saber has the capital letters "LL" on it.

I also have a Darth Vader, which I am almost positive was from my own collection, but am not 100% certain. It only has half of the dual scope. The insert piece is missing, but the hollow first piece is there. The saber has capital "N" and something after which I cannot make out. At leastit looks like an N. Is that real? Would this figure have any value only having half of the saber?

Any idea how I can post a picture, or would someone be willing to let me email it to them?

Hi Tom, the forum platform has an inbuilt 1 week grace period before you can post up pictures. It stops us being bombarded with cheap sunglasses & Nigerian princess' trying to marry us

The letters on the hilt are a good sign of authenticity.
An outer DT saber 'could' be worth many hundreds $$, Luke as much as $500. Wait the week get lots of good macro pictures ready. Bill McBride & others ( he'll do by himself ) to authenticate them for you.

If you haven't you can load the pics in your gallery and an admin may be able to load them for you. Be very careful if your going to pull the sabers from the arms. If they are already out of the arm leave them that way. The dt sabers are brittle and will snap easily. I am sure bill may be able to look at them, but not sure if he does so for free anymore. I think he will through pics for free, but if you have to mail it to him, I am not sure. Either way he is a great guy though and trustworthy as they come.

Thanks for the guide, it really helped. I had already taken the sabers out, and taken pictures. I only took one so far of the Darth Vader, and he is at my office, so I will take more on Monday. i took pick of the saber marking which I still cannot make out.

Is this Luke more rare? I am not sure what that version is all about.

And if anyone can tell if it is real or not, thank you. I attempted to put on Ebay, but when i started reading about replicas, I took it down. I want to make sure it is real first.

I was able to take pictures of my Darth Vader, drove to work to get it, lol. I dunno why the picture upside down

The vader appears to have small holes through the side as well as the rear of the saber has a lot of excess material or possible flashing. That doesn't look so good to me as it could indicate someone drilled out the saber and got to close to the sides, or if the tried to mold the saber the pour was uneven neither of which would be from a Kenner injected saber. I could be totally wrong, but I would for sure ask bill his opinion. Might help to take pictures of the ends of the vader saber looking into the hollow portion.

Those aren't holes, just divots on the side. I'll try and take pictures of ends. But it doesn't look drilled out.

These last pictures of just the vader saber are really blurry. Still see what appears to be excess flashing around the saber rear. Like I said in the pm bill would be the man to ask. I have a Luke and a broken Ben one, but neither have flashing like this and I am far from an expert.
