Care for Carded figures Empty
PostSubject: Care for Carded figures   Care for Carded figures I_icon_minitimeFri Apr 17, 2015 5:50 pm

Guys

I am new to the board and I was wondering if any of you can assist me. I am collector who views my Star Wars Collection as an investment.

I am about to acquire a couple of 12 back Palitoy cardbacks. These are not in a
perfect condition as the bubble is slightly coming out.

I would like to know:

1. What are the best ways to look after them?

2. How do I prevent further detachment of the bubble from the card?

I have already been advised to request extra care when they ship the items.

Many thanks!

Hello,i know steven at ukg can add bubble protection in their cases.pretty sure afa can to.but not sure if afa only do that when grading.might be worth asking whichever is easier for you to ship to.or there is a fantastic article using toploaders to keep the bubble in place.im sure somebody will have the link to it.its pretty much cut a perfect hole in one side of the toploader so that it pins the flap back down.but the article has it all in detail.

This might be the thread you are referring to Daren Very Happy

http://www.imperialgunneryforum.com/t3495-top-loader-case-to-secure-bubbles?highlight=top+loader

Hope this helps you out Tarkin Very Happy

If the bubbles are too far gone there's not much point to paying afa so much - that top loader method seems to work quite well and is cheap cheers

welcome "I have already been advised to request extra care when they ship the items."

Just make sure you give examples of how to pack it carefully, extra care to someone might be one layer of bubble wrap in an envelope.

Some good tips in this thread Here about bubble protection and a safe way to parcel up a moc. This is a good thread to quote to sellers.
