| I always liked this variation, side by side its definitely visible compared to the dull grey standard version.
What is its correct origin? I heard it has a Palitoy/UK link but can't quite remember the story, is there a link to a specific MOC or baggie that this figure came on or in?
Thanks! |

| perhaps , but still a white one, paid 5 euro for it , so , iam glad as can be
iam not so fussy about the condition, iam true the roof every time i find a new variation , and like hell if iam gonna let it lay , because it has a slight disc. or paint lost
plus i like the charm of a played with fig , hate loose limbs tho |

| Doc Brown has no idea.
Problem is that the white fur chirpa can appear with four totally differnet coos!! no coo and Hk coo....that doesnt make sense....
I think I saw some bagged samples....but have no pic saved.
Mirco (Mike_Skywalker) would probably know more!

| Here's a pic of my white Chirpa next to (a rather manky looking) normal one. My white Chirpa is a no COO version. Other than that, I've no real idea about it's origins. |

| Apparently the white Chirpa can be found in a tape sealed palitoy baggie. It was a prize from a competition entered via a national newspaper in 1983 (just before rotj was released). This info came from Bill Rodgers who had one that i believe he sold on along with the promotional flyer to Mattius (i think). I've never owned a bagged one, or even seen a flyer, so i wouldn't like to say if its legit or not Altho i had heard about this so called promotion before i knew of billyboy. Just thought i'd share the info lol.

| Also of note (correct me if i'm wrong) is the staff that goes with the white Chirpa should be the lighter brown one with more of a point/taper at the bottom like the one in batinthebelfry's picture |

| " is the staff that goes with the white Chirpa should be the lighter brown" & maybe the hood as well. But with more than 1 'version' of the white fur Chirpa this may not always be the case. I think someone told me they were a movie give away as well. |

one with more of a point/taper at the bottom like the one in batinthebelfry's picture correct...always lighter hood and staff! BUT also some have the real light staff (like Jimmys one). Different coos dont mean different fabrics....the molds could be mixed up some times....or collected in one place....I dont know. could be complete nonsense! But James is right. If the weapons and hoods are all the same and the tone from the white seems also nearly the same on all coo variants, they must be produced in the same fabric/place! Wolff |

Guess that means the hood in my pic is wrong then I would say so...sry One thing that really strikes you being a variant collector is getting the correct accessories and weapons to go with the correct coo figures... It really can be very challenging and not for everyone. It is far simpler being a moc collector |

| That´s right...there are 4 different COOs of the white fur Chirpa. As far as I know the white fur chirpa was only released in Palitoy Baggies and Palitoy Cards in the UK. http://home-and-garden.webshots.com/photo/1432121055063300857iJdVUB I have never seen a white fur Chirpa on a Palitoy Card...maybe someone has got a picture. I still need one for my picture archive. |
