| Hey Tim, what a great limelight! I am really happy you posted it for the rest to see. The find you made is truly remarkable! The story of the Kenner employee and how you came to get these pieces through her old college roommate is almost as priceless as the pieces themselves. In fact it's more priceless and that says a lot considering the prototypes you came across. To find a Red Bib, the first shot display stand, first shot ISP-6, first shot blasters and those EP's (Luke and R2) is jaw dropping. I am glad we became friends. I enjoyed doing research on the EP's with you and am really happy Tom Derby authenticated them after seeing our evidence. Also, the art work done on the Kenner stationary is just the icing on the cake. You have a shrine now that you can be reminded of the former Kenner employee and who she was. Not to mention the memories of making the find and having a piece of Kenner history on display in your home. That's what it's all about and I'm really happy for you. I also wanted to say thank you for the gift of the R5D4 that came in that same find. It is one of my most cherished figures in my collection. As I stated to you by PM, that figures head was glued to the body near the screw. The glue, like that on your Jabba, was a HUGE surprise to me. A long with the shaved under feet, It is different then any production R5 I have ever seen before. I don't know what to call it, but I'll just leave it at it is very special. Thank you again my friend. I do have a question. Did those pegs and pewter figures come in the same lot? If so, are there any differences in the pewter figures. I have little knowledge on them. GREAT LIMELIGHT my friend, Steve : ) |

| Steve, Yes the pegs and pewter figures came with the same lot, The pewter figures all have Year marking on the of '82. As I understand the pegs are for the Cantina Set. The only marking on the pegs are a injection mold mark and they are all almost different, I saw a G, N, 2 H's, S,I, O, L, R and two I could not read. I do not have any to compare to, but they are painted very nice. Thanks for looking. |

| Also, just noticed the unpunched card backs. Makes me wonder if the R5 and Red Cape Bib came on them, sealed, originally? Any thoughts regarding that? If they did, that would be sweet. You should ask your connection if she remembers? If that Red Bib indeed came on that card, it would have been amazing x 10 if it was still sealed on it. Any writing on either side of any of those cards? More mystery, LOVE it! And possibly more mysteries to be solved : ) Steve |

| There was no writing on either side, When I compared them from ones that I saw online they look just like production pieces. I do not believe that they are special, but ... You never know.... |

Thanks, I do want everyone know that 95% if not 100% of the work to prove those as EP and preproduction came from Steve. He has so much information about preproduction pieces that I am glad he and I have been as good of friends as we have. |

| Just wanted to give information that I was able to see about the Wampa, In comparing this one to the only production piece I have, I see that the paint details are very detailed and the hands have a lot of space and possible glue on them, Also I am not an expert on how the painting process works, but there is paint sprayed in the inside of both hands between the cracks. I have to use a jewelers loupe to see it. Also the paint color looks different then the one in production. The details of the hair looks more detailed than the production one that I have. Please note that the only Wampa I own is in poor shape, and the body and arms are yellowing. I will update better picture later, But I also just noticed that one side does not look sonic welded. |

Thanks, I liked the early bird stand as well. One note that can not been seen by the picture about it was that the actual cardboard was made different then the production ones and appeared to be more sturdy. If I can locate additional pictures I will upload. |

| Hi Tim. Really cool to find out there is only 1 other stand out there like the 2 you found. Also, hopefully you'll learn more about the Ape stationary. Maybe Chris G will chime in regarding his stand and stationary. If I hear anything further, I will let you know : ) Steve |

Thanks, I do have hundreds of loose mostly worn out played with figures without weapons in my collection (Not worthy of a limelight). This was a special find that I was asked to showcase and I only listed the items that I had from that find. Thanks for looking. Tim |

Steve I think it is awesome that Before this find that there was only one other know example. I also think it is great that the ones that I had came with the backdrop. When I talked to Tom Derby about them it mentioned that the two that I found, the backdrop was made different then production, From my memory when I compared the one I had from production to the first shot, the first shot was more durable. Thanks for all the help with the additional pieces. |
